Concord, New Hampshire

Adeline, holding a newborn Eva, and her husband Kyle walked through the front door of their house.

Kyle paused, hearing scuffling and said quietly, "Take Eva and hide."

"Kyle, please. Don't do this."

"I have to protect you two. If I don't make it, find John Winchester."

"I thought you two weren't on speaking terms."

"We're not. But he can help. His youngest son is at Stanford if you can't find John. Hide. Please."

Adeline, hearing the terror in his voice, nodded and ran to hide in a closet with Anna.

Mere minutes later, all was silent and the door felt hot.

She grabbed a towel and opened the door. She caught sight of orange flames and ran from the house.

"Kyle?" she called. "Kyle?!"

Adeline hugged her now crying daughter close to her chest and whispered, "Mama's got you, sweet girl."
