Chapter 9

We went back to the hotel as Cassie and Jenn tried to pry the information about me and Kian out of me. I told them we were just friends. "He's totally in love with you" Jenn said rolling her eyes

"Omg shut up no he is not." I answered.

We got back to the hotel and showered to get the smell of beer from last night off of us.

"Can't wait to see you today" a text from Jack I read while getting ready.

I wanted to look hott for Jack at the pool party today so I decided to straighten my hair and put on some light makeup... I didn't plan on going swimming so makeup would be fine.

I pulled out my new victoria's secret bikini from my bag and put it on. The mint green color went so well with my fresh tan skin and I have to admit I was definitely feeling myself! I put in my new sparkley dangly belly button ring and pulled some shorts over my bottoms and a sheer kimono over my top.

We grabbed our sunglasses, phones, and beach bags and headed out to the uber we called around 1:30pm.

We arrived at Kian's house and there were already a lot of people there. Kian answered the door and widened his eyes when he saw me.

"Hey, wow..." he said

"What...." I asked looking down at myself

"Nothing you look good.... all of you do!" he recovered.

We walked into the house and put our stuff down, took off our cover ups leaving us in just our bathing suits and continued out to the backyard. It was the most beautiful day out 85 degrees and sunny. The smell of the grill and beachy california music playing made us truly forget about boston.

I looked around and my eye caught Jack who was talking to JJ.

I went up behind him and covered his eyes, he grabbed my hands and said "I think I know who this is!"

I let go and he turned around looking at me and biting his lip. "Holy shit" he said wrapping his arms all the way around me picking me up as he kissed me.

He made me feel so giddy I couldn't stop smiling when I was with him.

I said hey to all the guys and Jack asked "Hey im gunna go grab a beer do you want one babe?"

This was the first time hes called me that. I instantly got butterflies. "Yes please" I tried to act cool and collected but hearing him call me that made me want to scream.

Jack came back with my drink.

"Hey before we open this we need to take a picture together." He said to me

Cassie took his phone and I stood next to him with my arms around him smiling. He leaned down and kissed me on the cheek which made me laugh because I wasnt expecting it. We looked at the picture and it came out really well.

"Wow we look hott" I said to him giving him a flirty look

"Best looking couple I've ever seen" JJ said making us all laugh.

"I'd say so" Jack said only to me smiling.

As the day went on the party started getting pretty crazy, everyone was drinking and the boys were all messing around with everyone. I was talking to Jenn when all of a sudden I was lifted up off the ground and thrown into the pool by Cam and JC. I got up and everyone was clapping and laughing as they threw almost every girl in after me. As I got out of the pool I had a sharp pain in my side that got worse as I started walking. I walked around to the side of the house to be alone I didn't want to cause any attention.

"Kelsey are you okay what's wrong?" I heard a voice from beside me. It was Kian.

"Nothing I'm fine I just hurt my side I think" I said trying to hold back the tears.

"What happened?" Kian asked looking concerned

"The guys just threw me in the pool as a joke and I don't know I got out and I have a sharp pain in my side I think I landed on it wrong" I said trying to shake it off.. I didn't wanna make a scene

"Let me see it" He said moving my arm away.

There was a huge red bump on my side that was swelling up.

"Okay I'm gunna go grab some ice" He said "Where's Jack I'll grab him"

"I don't know I think he's inside with JJ" I answered

I waited on the side of the house but the pain kept getting worse.

"Baby what happened are you okay?!" Jack came running around the side of the house.

"Yeah I'm okay I just landed wrong I think" I choked back.

Kian came around with an ice pack and handed it to Jack.

He gave me a questioning look making sure I was okay.

"Thank you Kian" I said returning his look with assurance.

As Jack put the ice on my side I flinched and a tear rolled down my face.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you" he said looking up with a scared look.

"It's okay it's just really cold." I answered with the pain written all over my face.

"Who threw you in the pool? I'm gunna kick his ass" Jack said starting to look really angry.

"Cam and JC but it was just a joke they didn't mean to hurt me" I said trying to calm him down. He had been drinking and I didn't want him to do anything wreckless.

I could barely breathe without the pain shooting through my body. "You may have hurt a rib. I'll take you back to my house and you can rest." Jack said.

"Okay" I said with another tear rolling down my cheek

Jack wiped it away and kissed me softly.

Kian, Cassie and Jenn came around the side of the house to check up on me.

"Omg Kels are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?" Cassie asked me. She was a nursing student in college so she lifted the ice pack to see if it looked like I broke anything. "It's not swelling too bad, I don't think you broke anything, it looks like you may have bruised a rib" she said looking up at me.

"I'm taking her back to my place to lay down and rest it I have ice and a heating pad there too so she can put that on it" Jack said to everyone.

"Okay do you want us to come with you guys to help?" Cassie asked

"No I want you guys to have fun, I'm fine I don't wanna make a big deal. You guys stay here and party. We can meet up again tonight if I can move by then" I said

"The uber is here babe, you ready? I have all of your things I think" Jack said

Cassie and Jenn gave a look of approval of Jack to me.

Kian gave me a look of helplessness as we got into the Uber.
