Chapter 21

I rubbed my eyes as the blinding white light filled the room. My head was pounding and my body felt like I had gotten hit by a bus. It took me a few minutes but I finally realized I was in the hospital. How did I get here? Why am I here? I don't remember anything. My heart rate started to pick up and the sound of the beeping machine attached to me started to increase. I started panicking being alone with no familiar faces around me having no idea how I got here or what's wrong with me.

Suddenly a tall man with glasses and a white coat came bursting through the door.

"Woah there Kelsey, take a deep breath you're okay, in through your nose, out through your mouth, that's it. Deep breathes."

I finally caught my breath.

"Why am I here? Where are my friends?" I stuttered out.

"You had alcohol poisoning so we had to pump your stomach and you collapsed on the sidewalk and hit your head so you have a slight concussion, but you're gunna be just fine. I'll go get your friends." He smiled at me.

Well that explains why my whole body hurts. The door opened again and two familiar faces came running in. Cassie and Kian.

"Kelsey how are you feeling?!" Kian said grabbing my hand.

"I'm okay just a headache and I'm pretty sore."

"You scared me so much Kelsey" Cassie said her eyes tearing up. I felt guilty.I hate hurting her. I'm such a fuck up.

"I'm sorry. I really am. I'm okay though"

They both just stared at me.

"So...uhm.... can one of you tell me what happened?" I said quietly looking down.

The doctor came back into the room "Excuse me Cassie? Can you come with me we have some paperwork for you"

Cassie left the room to just me and Kian.

"So?" I said looking at him for an answer.

"Well you got really drunk and were all over Nate, dancing, making out and everything. You drank enough to be shitfaced before we even got to the club but when we got there you just kept chugging drinks every few minutes. Next thing I know I see you following Jack and Lindsey out of the club... well more of stumbling instead of following. So me and Nate went after you to stop you from doing anything crazy. When we got outside you were just standing there staring at Jack and Lindsey as they got in the car together. You called Jack's name and when he turned around you collapsed. So we called and ambulance and now we're here."

"So... Jack saw the whole thing?"

"Yes."

"Did anyone else come to the hospital?" I asked hoping he would say Jack or Nate or some of the guys came earlier but left for a while.

Kian shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Kian?"

"No just me and Cas"

I sat there shocked. No one gave a fuck about me. Jack couldn't have cared less about me collapsing on the pavement. He just went home to fuck his girlfriend without a care in the world. I felt the tears start to form again and I swallowed hard.
