Chap.6 Training with Traveler

It was a quiet day, you were outside of Wangshu Inn sitting on the grass as you hugged your legs, Xiao was out In the distance with his polearm, you watched as he was training himself and you found It to be amazing, you looked at your hands as you wondered if you did those things before, and from what Xiao said all of the Yaksha took part in many battles, you felt like you could believe it, but you didn't remember what your fighting abilities were at all 

just then you heard a high pitched voice "(Y/n)!!!"

you turned, seeing your new friends the Traveler and Paimon as they came over to you, 

you smiled, giving a little wave "hello"

"We came to see how you were, everything okay" asked Aether

you took in a breath, "I am well, thank you for the concern but there's something that frustrates me"

Aether sat down next to you, "Anything I can help with?"

you started thinking, "Watching Xiao like this, It makes me wonder If I can fight"

Paimon started laughing, "sorry! It's just that you're a Yaksha"

"sorry about Paimon, but going back to that did you forget how to?"

you nodded In response, Aether then put a hand to his chin as he started thinking before he stood up, Aether then took out his own sword "then, I'll teach you"

your eyes brightened more, "really?"

Aether smiled, "of course, consider It helping you to regain your memories too"

you smiled, "Thank you Traveler"

you stood up, sweeping your hair from your shoulder as you watched him demonstrate, just as Xiao caught sight of what was going on, and he soon transported himself over 

"Traveler, what're you doing here" he asked

"oh, Xiao I'm just showing (Y/n) how to fight"

Xiao looked to you, and you blushed a little bit "mhm"

Xiao closed his eyes, "I see"

you started, "Xiao, do you remember how I used to fight In battle"

he smiled a bit, "of course, you wielded a blade made of Ice, and though unsure of yourself you were a great fighter, even in the toughest battle you never gave up even if you cried"

your eyes shined, you then looked down "could I...ever be like that again"

Xiao touched your shoulder "you can, you've just forgotten how you used to"

you looked at him, he gave you reassuring nod before you smiled in response, 

"alright,"

you then focused as Xiao guided you to channel your powers, "close your eyes, keep a calm and focused mind, feel your Adepti power as It courses through you"

you did as told, and you felt a strange sensation just as the tattoo on your back glowed, just as your mask appeared over your face and you stumbled backwards, but Xiao caught you 

"this...happened on that night"

Xiao nodded, he then touched your mask and It dispersed as you then stood back up

"alright, now feel your Cryo vision and manifest Its power"

you nodded, before closing your eyes and you felt an Icy wind blow through the air, your Cryo Vision glowed as you then felt something and opened your eyes, a sword was In your hand

you silently gasped, looking at the beautiful blade that was cold as Ice, you then looked at it as you started to have a vision, you saw yourself practicing with this sword alongside someone else but the face was blurred again, you touched your head as you felt It hurt 

Aether came over, "(Y/n), I can start you with the basics"

you soon came back to reality, "oh, alright then"

Aether showed you a basic stance, and you did your best to copy but you had a problem with the posture, Aether gave a little laugh "It's alright, here this how Its done"

Aether got closer to you, and got behind you as he positioned your arms the right way, seeing you both like this made a tinge of jealousy rise up within Xiao, but he tried to ignore It 

"Okay, now you swing It like this"

Aether cut his sword through the air swiftly, and you soon copied It perfectly as he then showed you another stance, this time before Aether showed one of his own attacks 

you stood In awe, "oh"

Aether then gestured, "Xiao, could you show her how"

Xiao nodded, he then summoned his polearm once more as his Anemo vision glowed, his mask appeared over his face as he then leapt up, spinning It around quickly before he plunged it into the ground, and the ground came up from the force, you backed away as you shielded yourself 

Xiao then landed back onto the ground, touching his mask "come,"

you went over, holding your sword firmly as you then felt your Vision and Adepti powers

you took in a breath, stepping forward as you waved your sword quickly and this released a wave of ice that froze the grass, you looked astonished before you looked back at Xiao, he nodded In recognition, you smiled before you went over to him and hugged him 

this took Xiao aback, and a bright blush came to his cheeks but then he slowly put his arms around you, not knowing If he could let go now, and he promised he wouldn't ever again.
