Chap.17 Flowers and Stars

A Few days later....

You and Xiao were on the way back to Wangshu Inn after having a meal with Zhongli, he'd just wanted to catch up and also speak to you both of the old time's which was nostalgic, though not without some painful memories that you and Xiao both shared but all was well. with your stomach's full you strolled together hand In hand as the sun was almost sunken down to hide behind the horizon, the last month of marriage with Xiao had been blissful though every moment you were with him was absolute bliss In which he agreed with you, 

just as you were nearing the Inn you came through a clearing, just as you saw a patch of some Qingxin along with some other wild flowers native to Liyue, just then Xiao looked to the flower's as he'd suddenly gotten struck with an idea so he released your hand for the moment 

"Alatus?"

Xiao looked back with a smile, "I'll be right back love"

you stayed put as he went over to crouch down amongst the flowers, gathering up the best one's as he then returned to your side as to present them to you with a little blush 

"Here"

you smiled and received them, kissing his cheek "Thank you dearest"

you held the mini bouquet close to you as you continued to walk with him, just as you noticed how dark it gotten as you looked up at the sky to see the star's had come out

"My love look"

you pointed up and Xiao looked up, "I see, they're very bright tonight"

you then had an idea as you pulled him to follow you more into the clearing, before you sat down and lied down in the grass as Xiao came over to join you

"You wish to Stargaze?" he asked

you smiled with a nod, and he then sat down as he'd never deny you anything In this world, Xiao then lied down as you scooted closer as he then brought his arm around you 

"It's going to get colder soon"

he nodded, "yes...It'll be winter once again"

you let out a breath as you looked up at the stars, just as you started to remember how on some night's you and the other Yaksha would star gaze while Xiao found It be pointless 

you giggled, "Alatus"

"hm?"

"do you remember...that one night Bonanus brought us to do this, It was the first time we'd stayed awake that long but...I remember you saying it was pointless"

Xiao blushed a little, "I...Well I did say that back then"

you giggled again as he then gave your hand a squeeze, "But...whenever I was with you I didn't care if It was boring"

Xiao turned to face you as you did the same, as he brought his hand up to caress your cheek

you closed your eye's as you leaned into his touch, letting out a content sigh as you then opened your eye's as you gazed into his golden one's but then you came together In a kiss

and after parting Xiao drew you back in for another kiss, all more lasting then last but they were so tender and full of the love he had for you. you always felt like you lost yourself In him during moment's like this as you had so much more of your own love to give him in return

Xiao then laced your finger's with his, "How I wish...time would stop for us sometimes It's foolish I know as we have all the time in the world but..."

you shook your head, "It's not foolish at all"

you snuggled closer to him just as you felt a cool breeze, you still clutched the flower's that he'd given you earlier as you imbued them with some of your power so they'd last.
