Chap.13 Proper Memorials

for the past few hours you'd been long In thought about your fellow Yaksha, you regained all your memories as well as retained the things you'd been told about after you died, you were still in disbelief that your friends and family had perished, leaving Xiao as the last Yaksha until you revived a while ago, but it still saddened you very much to know they were all gone, of all the Yaksha you were mostly close with Bonanus and she was like an older sister to you, and long ago you even confided in her about your feelings for Xiao, in which she was very happy for you and prayed that everything would  smoothly between you and Xiao, you wished that she could be here along with the others as they wanted to live mortal lives after all the fighting was over

Xiao didn't fail to notice your quiet lamenting and missing them, so he had an idea and went to a craftsman in Liyue harbor having something specially made, and he soon returned to get you from Wangshu Inn when he'd finished setting up what he had to 

"Come my love, there's somewhere I'd like to show you"

"alright"

you took his hand as you stood up, and followed him out of your room before you held onto him as he transported you both elsewhere In a flurry of black embers, and soon you reappeared outside and somewhere that you thought familiar, upon looking around you remembered that you were near Mt. Tianheng at the sea of clouds, it had been centuries since you were there

you let go of Xiao as you looked around more, "Alatus, we're where I think yes?"

"Indeed, Mt Tianheng"

he then started walking with you following closely as you started heading further to the bottom of the mountain, starting up the pathway as you trudged on up the steepness of the pathway, and at some point your foot started to slip due to the dirt "!!!!"

but Xiao quickly caught your hand, "watch out, are you alright"

you nodded and he helped you as you continued walking up the hill, and soon you saw something up ahead, it was a run-down looking temple and you followed Xiao as you came up to it just as a breeze started blowing, you went ahead inside as you saw a Crane statue along with what looked like memorial tablets set up all In a certain order 

"This Temple, years after you left Pervases soon followed suit and so we dedicated this place to him"

you were surprised, you then walked forward as you touched the Crane statue, "By wave and storm I hunt for fish, by wind and snow I slay evil...."

you started to tear up, "so Pervases left too"

Xiao gave a nod, "yes, Bosacious was very saddened by his passing"

you looked to the memorial tablets and recognized the names, Bosacious, Menogias, Indarias and Bonanus all of them were there, you felt yourself tear up once again but you held back the tears as you knew they wouldn't want you to cry, or to continue mourning their deaths 

still you looked on with a heavy heart, Xiao came over to your side as he placed his hand on your shoulder and you held onto It, taking In the silence as you then started having flashbacks of them all with the moments you shared, your fallen comrades, your friends, your family 

Xiao then got onto his knees and you followed suit as you both paid respects to them, and afterwards you sat not too far away from the temple with Xiao, as you both watched as the sun was beginning to set, he had his arm around you with your head on his shoulder

"Alatus"

"yes?"

you looked up at him, "did you create these tablets?"

Xiao nodded, "yes I had them made, I thought It would be a good way to preserve their memory"

you sighed, "It Is...and I hope this place will stand the erosion of time"

Xiao rubbed your shoulder, "nothing can stand against erosion, but that doesn't mean It's not possible"

 "I remember long ago, they'd often express to us about wishing to live mortal lives...I dreamed too of It too, but can that truly happen? will we always be tied to our destinies"

Xiao looked to you, before he looked to the horizon while thinking about what you said and he started to get an Idea, an idea that would solve that question and in which he'd speak to Zhongli about It very soon.
