C28: the world of elves
Dear lovely princess,
This king shall be off.
Signed,
Idris
Staring at the shortest letter she had ever received, Athanasia almost ripped it apart out of frustration as she sat in her study.
Not long ago, before the crack of dawn, just as she was about to rise from bed, a letter materialized above her and landed on the princess' laps. Since she had just woken up, she set the letter aside, forgetting it until afternoon.
Once she recalled the weird letter she received that morning, she decided to see what it was about and ended up almost tearing it to pieces.
Based on this letter, it was obvious that Idris had decided to leave... which also meant he was taking Ijekiel with him.
Who was supposed to take the Duke Alpheus' seat now?!
.
.
Meanwhile, the very person Athanasia was cursing out had transformed into a humongous sky blue dragon for the first time in a while. Sitting on the dragon's neck was none other than Ijekiel who was wrapped up in two cloaks just in case the temperature up in the atmosphere was too much for him to bear.
"Husband!" The king's lover yelled against the wind, both hands holding onto the horns protruding on each side of the dragon's head. "Where exactly are we going?!"
"This king is taking you to another world," Idris used magic to mentally speak with his lover. "Has this one not told you? This king shall show you the different worlds that formed thousands of years ago. Starting from now, you and I shall be taking an endless journey together, husband."
Although Idris wasn't directly speaking to him, Ijekiel felt as if his lover spoke right next to his ears that he could not help but grow flustered.
The thought of travelling with this person he loved the most, who had filled the void in his heart, thrilled Ijekiel more than ever. Before, he had always wanted to see many new things with Idris, to see just how big the universe was with him.
And now, they finally had a chance to do so.
On top of that, Idris was also going to search for a way to extend Ijekiel's lifespan.
From what he knew, there was a contract of the soul and body that existed in the world of elves. With that contract, two people would share the same fate. If one died, the other would follow. If one lived for many years, the other would as well. This had completely slipped his mind before, overwhelmed with joy when he found Ijekiel.
Thus, Idris decided that their first destination must be the world where the Tree of Life was the strongest. It is only in the presence of the Tree of Life could the contract of soul and body be initiated.

The worlds where elves existed were abundant with life. They lived in hollowed trees and especially cultivated ones where they guided each branch to form a house. The elves loved researching potions and they were naturally gifted in the field of science and research.
