C25: an obvious invitation

A cheeky smile appeared on the ravenet's lips. "Anyway, that's not what I really came here for." Mischief glinted in those blood red eyes of his. "Do you want to make trouble for that brat Aeternitas once you've recovered?"

Pausing, Idris processed Lucas' words before a blinding smile curled on his lips. Of course, despite this blindingly stunning smile, a shiver crawled down Lucas' spine at the sight of it.

"Of course, why would this one ever refuse such a chance to make that child suffer? Come, tell this one what you have in mind."

.

.

In another lifetime, Lucas was Idris' lover.

In this life, Lucas became his little follower.

.

.

"Lotos Festival?" Idris blinked in confusion.

"That's right," the princess beamed as she and Idris took a walk at Emerald Palace's garden. Walking behind them were Felix and Octavius. "When you mentioned how my ancestors were the benefactors of Sen; that's when I realized that Lotos Festival was for him." She couldn't restrain her joy over this discovery.

She knew how much Idris loved Ijekiel. Thus, she brought this up with him the second she realized how close Lotos Festival was.

"Obelia celebrates the beauty of Lotus Flowers and what they represent. I thought you might want to go with Ijekiel since, you know, it's about him in a way."

Lotos Festival had been celebrated since the founding of the Obelian Empire. Based on the history books, it celebrates the meaning of Lotus Flowers, especially the White Lotus.

What Athanasia said was right. Her ancestors made this festival in the name of Sen who they considered a member of their family.

"Besides, why don't we all relax for a while before we act out Lucas' plan? Daddy's situation is already stable from what he said so it wouldn't be bad if we have fun for a bit, right?" In fact, she herself was looking forward to this day.

The Lotos Festival was only celebrated for every five years.

Despite that, this would be her first time attending it since she hadn't been interested in it before. After all, she had already seen all sorts of festivals back in her previous life; how different could this one be?

But since it was related to her friends, she was a bit excited to see it with her own eyes.

"This one supposes it is not a bad idea so as long as Ijekiel agrees."

Of course, Ijekiel's answer was an instant yes when Idris dropped by at his place.

.

.

"Miss Lillian." A day before the festival, Idris Drayce approached Lily.

Lily had been in the middle of talking with her fellow maids about what afternoon snack they should prepare for the princess when Idris showed up unannounced, radiating an awkward air.

She found this usually distant person loveable; even without him saying anything, Lily could tell that whatever Idris wanted from her, it had something to do with that child from the House of Alpheus.

"What is it, Lord Idris?"

"..." A complicated look formed on Idris's face, his eyebrows almost meeting while his lips pursed into an almost pout. "What... should one wear during a festival? Are casual clothes enough or would that be too rude for the other party?"
