Natalie hugged her phone. What did Casper mean? Why was he acting weird? Has he been using me? The questions were just popping from all angles. "Love issues?" The deputy smirked. "No! He's safe for now", Natalie did the classic eye roll, "but...he seemed different". "He is. It's a good thing he remembers now"."What are you talking about? And how do you know Casper? And what did you mean about my parents staying here was a mistake? And why did you save a few of us? And who are you?" She poured them. She had more but those were the starting lines.
"I can only answer the last one for now and that's because 'goatee deputy' is a terrible name", he sighed, "my name is Zarphon. I'm an Ivocian just as you are". "Ivocian? I haven't heard of a country like that". "You're either completely oblivious or playing dumb", he scoffed.
Natalie said nothing. Zee was right. She was playing dumb because she didn't want to believe it. After all, aliens were not real. Right?

"Anyone screams and they get the luxury of picking the first room". A man in a green camouflage uniform decorated by medals and a rank badge with a rifle at hand smirked as soon as he opened the door. Everyone knew their town's police department wore blue uniforms therefore, the man was from the army.
Out of mostly fear, no one said a word. "A single file!" He shouted. He voice was ten times louder with each word and Casper was having a headache. He sighed and lowered his head. His relief was that Natalie was relatively safe.
Another soldier came to the former man's aide. Casper was in the middle of the line. He expected that everyone would be outside quickly but something was causing a delay.
Casper realized it once the red haired guy in front of him got his neck chained with an advanced shock collar. "You look like a troublemaker", the first soldier licked his lips like a hungry prey, "I'm sure to have my fun making you cry". "That's a creepy thing to say to a kid". Casper said before he could stop himself. The man gave a belly laugh and pushed Casper down.
The steel gates opened for him and four others. A female soldier stopped the five of them. She used a glue gun to paste tags on their shirts. This is so sick. He told himself. The woman eyed him curiously. When she bent to glue the tag, she whispered, "don't say a word. We have a plan to get you out soon enough"
Casper widened his eyes but nodded. The soldier touched his chest then kissed her hand just his mother did sometimes before sending him off. Casper did not dare look back. He had a feeling that there were cameras planted everywhere.
The camp was very wide. The ever present sound of waves crashing against rocks told Casper that they were some where around the dam. Probably a few miles from it.
Casper mastered the position of everything he saw. The entrance was twenty feet from the security post. The first tent which was plain white was fifty feet at the post's left side. The second tent was directly beside the first but in a cream color.
Casper looked over his right shoulder. Three cabins lined up. Each was a soft gravy color. It had only one door and two glass windows that could not be opened. Casper knew the meaning 'one way in and only one way out. No escape possible'.
His group was closely behind the others and they were entering another compound. Green lights scanned them before the gates were buzzed open. Casper actually became worried. This was not something that could have been built in one night. Something else was going on.
Two males had big stretchers with packaged items in brown envelopes on either side. They gave each person one of each. "Good luck. You'll need it". Two of them said when it was his turn. Casper replied with the a sad 'I know'.
Another steel gate was rolled away for them to enter. Casper almost gasped but his body was in shock. The only free space was in the center. There were low level cells on each side. This was the real holding ground.

Natalie was massaging her forehead to avoid overthinking. She was not to be blamed though. There were many questions and it was not easy to have your whole life turned upside down.
"You've gone quiet". Zee observed. "I'm trying not to teleport again. Just as a heads up, my meditation skills are garbage so be ready for another game of fetch". Natalie snapped at him. Zee laughed, "you're comic", he said, "Daisy and Rogers did mention it".
"How do you know my parents?"
"I remember saying that I would answer one question".
"That is like so not fair. You can't just drag me from my life and not give me anything to work with. That's bizarre and it makes me feel like this is all a crazy bad dream".
Natalie was frustrated.
The car slowed down in that moment till it stopped. "We're here". He told her as he removed the keys and got out. Natalie scoffed and walked out too. She made sure to slam his car door very hardly. "That was childish". He gave her an unimpressed look. "Sorry for acting my age". She stuck out her tongue.
Zee's eyes accessed her. "You grew taller again", he said mostly to himself, "that means we have to hurry". Natalie opened her mouth but closed it. She waited this long. She could manage for a few minutes when they were inside.
The bungalow was a dull green color. Its roof was mahogany. "You lack taste. This is a pitiful excuse for a house". She clicked her tongue. Zee ignored her as they went up the stairs. Zee pressed the doorbell. Natalie was confused by why he had to seek permission before entering his own house but not as shocked as when the peephole scanned his right eye.
"You have a retina scan for your own house?" She could not help but ask. "You cannot underestimate the capabilities of other lifeforms", he shrugged, "besides, I never said it was mine".
The white door opened and they entered. The neon lights welcomed them. Natalie's jaw dropped as she stared at the room. It was wide for starters and that was shocking since the house was small. There was a make shift bar on the right side with four stools in front of it. The left had a vending machine, a small table that had two seats and a red couch.
The room was some sort of relaxing lounge. The stairs indicated that there were rooms upstairs. What kind of house is this? She asked herself. It was too weird. Natalie unconsciously put a hand to her chest. She did not think her heart could handle any more of the strangeness.
"She's safe". Zee announced. Natalie was lost since they were all alone in the house.
Suddenly, tiny white lights sparked and with it came a new being. Soon enough, the room was filled with about twenty people; both male and female.
Natalie's eyes widened. Where did they come from? She mused. Some of the beings stood out from the others due to their peculiar skin which in this case seemed to look like bear fur. The purple ball eyes of the red skinned creatures stared at her in curiosity.
Natalie's heart seemed to have had enough of everything. Before Zee could speak, she was falling and her vision had turned black.
Do you think Zee is being fair by not answering her questions?
Poor Natalie fainted!
Don't worry guys, she might be fine.Find out in the next part!
