Natalie leaned against the pile of trash. "Time out", she breathed hardly, "time out. Whoa!" "Your fighting instincts are yet to kick in fully", Zee lent her a hand, "you certainly cannot fly and super strength is off the list". "Thanks for the encouragement". Natalie practically growled at him.Zee had been putting her through a series of tests. He wanted to discover what other powers she had except the obvious superspeed and teleportation. He also said that she had a natural fighting spirit that just needed activation. In conclusion, Natalie was sore.
"You need to suck it up". Zee probed. "Yeah, suck it up". She rolled her eyes. "Again". He said. Natalie tied the cloth over her eyes. She was focusing on the sounds. She heard nothing except the silence of the wind.
A wild kick was planted on her hind. Natalie grazed her knee against the rough ground. "You're not holding back. Gee thanks". Natalie said sarcastically. "Focus", Zee retorted, "you need to know how to fight what you can't see". "I'm pretty sure the bounty hunters are humans".
"Your threats might not just be humans".
"That's highly unlike because we're on the same side. Right?" Zee didn't answer. Natalie raised the blindfold slightly, "right?" She repeated. Zee sighed. Natalie totally removed the cloth. "I didn't sign up for alien battles", Natalie complained, "it's bad enough that humans want to experiment on us". "When I speak about the invasion that destroyed our home, what do think I mean?" Zee quirked his brows.
Natalie kept quiet. She took off her sweatshirt and tied it around her waist. Her black sport bra was like a crop top so it was decent enough. She packed her hair in a messy ponytail leaving two curls in front of her eyes. She put the blindfold back on and said, "let's try this again".
Natalie listened closely. Her ears picked up a foreign sound. Natalie heard the air whoosh like something was being swung in the air. She ducked to her right. Natalie heard footsteps from behind her. She turned around but she was not fast enough. The kick landed on her side. Natalie coughed slightly but went back to listening.
Zee lunged at her but Natalie dodged and caught his arm. She twisted it to the back and pushed him face first into the ground. Zee had his stamina so he didn't crash down. He tried to punched her lower abdomen but Natalie used both her hands to deflect.
Zee smiled to himself as he began to put more pressure. His moves were faster. Natalie tried to dodge as many as possible but she still got hit. A huge smack on her head took her down. Zee was worried. He was about to help her when Natalie jumped to her feet.
She sprinted forward and slammed his chest. Zee was thrown back by the force. He collided with a tall heap of trash. He wiped his mouth and teleported to her back. Natalie heard his breaths and attacked. Zee deflected her punches but he was yet to land one on her.
Natalie spun and her left foot slapped his face. Zee stumbled and shook his head. Natalie smirked proudly. "Seems like someone is getting cocky". Zee teased. "What can I say? I'm just that good". Natalie inflated her ego. "Okay. I won't hold back anymore".
Natalie was not given time for a comeback as Zee jumped her. Natalie made an 'X' over her head to block his hit. Zee landed a heavy blow on her frame. Natalie tasted the dust as she met the ground. She felt something wet on her cheek. Her fingers touched the warm liquid. It was blood.
Natalie instantly became angry. Her right hand felt hot. Natalie embraced the energy. The blue light grew long. Natalie thought it was a light saber but it was a light spear. Zee saw this but attacked nevertheless. Natalie made one swing and Zee flew far making a large hole through another trash heap.
Natalie removed the blindfold. She widened her eyes at the weapon. It disseminated slowly into her body. "Zee!" Natalie super sped to him. Zee held his injured left arm. It had a huge burn mark on it. "Oh my! Zee" she covered her mouth with the back of her palm. "That was good". He said with a groan.
