Third Person's POV
After Minju and Chaewon's talk, the four girls went back to the house.
The rest of the girls who were left inside the house, except for Hitomi and Yuri, wondered why Minju took so long to find Chaewon. It shouldn't be too hard, this property isn't too big that the Kims took almost two hours to come back. Nevertheless, they didn't ponder on it too much. The girls came to the same conclusion, that the reason why Minju took so long was that she didn't know Chaewon that well so she had a hard time figuring out where the older went.
The moment they entered the beach house, they were bombarded with questions and most of them came from Eunbi.
Eunbi... It was always Eunbi who looks for them whenever one was missing. Eunbi's always the first one to notice if one's missing. It's always Eunbi who takes care of them all, equally, with no favoritism at all— Though it is an inside joke to them that Eunbi's favorite child is Chaewon and Wonyoung.
They don't say it much— No, they don't say it at all but they're glad that it was always Eunbi. They're beyond glad that Eunbi exists. They all know that Eunbi is the parent they never had.
The two Kims looked at each other, the younger Kim motions Chaewon to answer on her behalf. Chaewon nods, "Guys, chill, we were..." Chaewon stops to think of a valid excuse, "We... We played by the beach." Minju finished the sentence for her.
The rest lets it slide. They were convinced that the two played by the beach. Except for one, Jo Yuri. Yuri knew something was up between Minju and Chaewon. She kind of put the puzzles together. After that scene from the library, Yuri figured that the two were close before, it just didn't end well. After that, Yuri realized how everything made sense. How Minju purposely ignores Chaewon as if the latter doesn't exist. How for the first time, she saw Chaewon cry and that was because of Minju. How Chaewon ran away from the bus that one time. How Minju and Chaewon never interacted with each other ever since their group had been formed. How they could rarely see Chaewon and Minju in the same room: how whenever Minju is present, Chaewon isn't there and when Chaewon is present, Minju isn't there. It all made sense. At least, for Yuri, it did.
It amazed her. She looked at the rest of the girls, looking if somebody knew but no one did. It's either the girls are dumb or these two are really good at hiding. Yuri was sure that it was the latter.
It was almost twelve in the afternoon when the girls finally ate lunch together.
They were all seated in the dining room. They weren't just eating, some were telling stories, some were listening, some were laughing and some were giving reactions.
They ate a little earlier than usual because they had so much planned that day.
After lunch, the girls changed clothes to swim. Once they were done, they all headed to the beach. They were all noisy, Yujin, Yena, and Sakura were running around the shore. Hyewon, Nako, Hitomi, Wonyoung, and Yuri following them. Minju, Chaewon, Eunbi, and Chaeyeon laughing at the girls.
They were shocked to see Yujin, Yena, Hyewon, and Wonyoung running towards them only to get Eunbi and throw her to the beach.
Eunbi's a skilled fighter, she can easily get away from her friends' grip but she chose not to. She wanted to see them laugh even it if mean she'll be thrown to the sea.
The moment Eunbi's body hits the water with a splash, a bunch of heartily laughs follows like a choir perfectly singing a song. Even their laughs suit one another. But Chaeyeon's laughs overpower the rest. Chaeyeon has the weirdest laugh but they loved how it sounded. Laughing suits Chaeyeon.
