    When Patrick said he would be over in a few , he really meant he was going to take his damn time. Lily had already watched through the whole movie , opened her bathroom window for him to crawl through once he got there, and yet no Patrick. Instead of waiting nervously for him to just show up which she pondered would be not time soon. She picked up her book and started to read . She was nearing the end, she wanted . . . no needed to know what happened to the two lovers in her novel. Xandra use to boast on about how stupid romance stories and novels were. Saying how deceiving they were to 'young girl's minds'. Xandra said, there's nothing but heartbreak in the real world - might as well be one with it now then later. 

    Just suppose that it might be true. Those books were just fiction ... right? Luckily Lily never took anything in those novels and stories too seriously. She would swoon , cry and get angry at points. But no one  . . . could ruin her enjoyment of novels like the one's she reads. It was like reading was escaping reality for her . Transferring to  a world that wasn't hers, it was perfect. Reading through the lives of the fiction characters  as if she were one of them playing along  .

    Lily heard some rustling over in the bathroom , finally Patrick decided to show up . She wondered why it took so long. It must have been important becuase she excepted him over an hour ago, maybe even more so .  She rushed to finished the last paragraph of the chapter and placed a bookmark between the pages, marking her place . She looked towards the bathroom door and saw the head of Patrick peep through.  He looked sweaty and his skin was tinted a light shade of red. He enter fully into the room and jumped onto her bed. He laid himself down , he huffed and puffed breaths and looked up at Lily as he tried to cool down his body.

" The police showed up at my house earlier today" he spoke looking away from Lily . 

well that was fast, it has only been hours . 

"Yeah what about?" she asked, she had already knew what about. It couldn't hurt to ask.

"Thought the were there to bust me for setting Mrs. Orris's mailbox on fire but they just wanted to know if i was with you the night of that party ." he said . Lily nodded before her eyebrows furrowed 

" You set a mailbox on fire? " she asked

" Yeah, what are you . . . deaf" he spoke , Lily sighed and shook her head. 

" Why are you really here?" she asked 

It took a awhile for Patrick to answer her question but when he did his voice was calm, almost as if he was happy really

" They're doing a full blown investigation and shit, who knew , Alexandra Quinn, is she or is she not out there! I mean at least we have alibies " 

" alibies?"

" Yeah, they think she got murder and shit, you know just like a few years ago with the whole mumbo jumbo with the missing kids and them showing up in peices ." Patrick told her, a smirk risen on his face. Lily's eyes widen and the color on her face drained. Patrick was a bit angsty at the fact that the police are looking into Xandra's case as a suspected murder or kidnapping . Once he over heard the news channel talking about the 'case' , and how it could be a kidnapping and that the 'events' from a few years back 'wont be uprising' . Patrick knew, of he knew, that the cops were looking into the case as suspected kidnapping or murder. . . it was both. But the cops didn't know that .
