Chapter 3

Pit's POV:

"Y/N, do you want to fly with me?" I ask enthusiastically "I can show you around!" I add. She looks at me with sad eyes.

"I can't fly."

What? Of course she can she's an Angel! "If you can't I can teach you!" I say trying to be nice. Her voice is firm "I can't." she says again.

"There's no need to be scared!" I sooth "If anything happens I can help you." I add she looks away. Then she looks at me with anger in those E/C eyes "Don't you get it?! I can't fly!" she snaps. I flinch back, oh, she's just like me! "I can't fly either! But Lady Palutena helps me!" I say enthusiastically "She can help you too!" I smile.

"No one can help me." she chuckles darkly. "I CANNOT FLY AND NEVER WILL BE ABLE TO!" she shouts with tears in her eyes. with that she walks to the edge of the arena, drops down and glides.

Oh flip.

I really messed up this time. "Y/N wait!" I call out but she's already gone.

I run to Lady Palutena and tell her what happened.

"PIT!! I told you to be understanding!" She shouts "Anyways, here. It will explain a few things." Lady Palutena tosses me a letter. I grab it and read.

Dearest Palutena,

It has been some time since I have contacted you, I know. I need your help. I need you to take in Y/N, she is an angel. I understand that you are good with Pit, so I am trusting you with her.

I cannot say where I am, Not even Y/N knows. Just know that I am fighting the good fight. I feel bad for not telling Y/N. I need you to take care of her because I have left to right a wrong. The other gods have not been so patient with her, especially zeus.

Please be understanding with her as her most precious possession has been taken away from her, her flight. I have reason to believe that this happened after she retrieved the dagger of shadows but, Y/N still won't tell anyone what happened there.

She is a hard working angel, serious too. She used to be happy and upbeat, but she changed once she retrieved the dagger. I love her like a sister, tell her that.

Oh no. What have I done?!

With Y/N:

It was wrong of me to run away like that. Pit didn't know, it wasn't his fault. It still hurts. I swear by my life I will get hades for what he did to me. I suddenly crash into something - or someone and fall to the ground.

"HEY! WATCH IT!"

"Apologies." I say as I look up. It was an angel, he looked just like Pit except with black wings and a black toga.

"I guess it wasn't all your fault..." He trails off "Who're you anyway?!" he snaps looking me up and down.

"I'm Y/N. I am Lady Palutena's servant." I say curtly. "Oh, so you work with Pit-stain..." He says. I can't help but snicker, though I try to hide it. He smirks "I'm Dark Pit. You can call me Dark." he says "I didn't expect you to laugh at that. Usually everyone's chummy with that idiot." he looks at me.

"Well I'm not, at least at the moment." I explain looking away. "Why what happened?" he asks. I look at him warily.

"Look I know I can be mean, but I feel that you're different. You can trust me." he says, giving me a confident look. I tell him everything.

"Wait... YOU CAN'T FLY!?" he exclaims, I sadly nod. "So you can't get up." he states. "well yes, but actually no." I reply. he gives me a look. I sigh "I can but only for a short while and it will inflict physical damage on me." I explain.

He looks at me with concern "I'll come with you just in case."

"You don't have t-"

"I will." He interrupts "Plus I needed to go there anyways." I guess there's no going out of this one.

Here goes nothing. I focus the energy of the scimitar on my wings. And unbearable pain consumes me as I propel myself into the air, seeing my pain Dark holds my hand and flies ahead pulling me along with him to go faster. I can feel the cut forming along my cheek.

Finally we break through the clouds and reach the palace. Dark leads me inside to a bench. "Are you ok?" He asks looking away.

"Yes." I say through the never-ending pain and turn my face away. I don't want to be seen this vulnerable.

"Liar." he says.

"Y/N!!"

Pit's POV:

I've looked everywhere for Y/N. I feel so bad, I'm a terrible friend! I go back into the palace dejected. I look up and I see her sitting on a bench with a deep cut on her cheek.

"Y/N!!" I yell jogging towards her.

"what happened to you!?" I ask looking at her cut "HEY!! what's he doing here!" I shout as I notice dark Pit next to her. "DID YOU DO THIS PITTOO?!" I ask him. He scowls at me "No why would I Pit-stain?! AND DON'T CALL ME THAT! I'm not the one who drove her out in the first place!!" he snaps.

Oh yeah, he has a point.

"Yeah I'm leaving!" he says and goes to the throne room? "Hey! where are you going?!" I ask in panic. "where you're not!" he retorts "Chill I'm not going to harm your goddess." with that he leaves.

I turn to Y/N. "I'm sorry! I was so stupid and insensitive! I won't blame you if you don't want to be my friend! I'm sorry times infinity!" I wail and hug her tightly. The butterflies are back again! except this time they are also in my heart!

"It's ok Pit." Y/N hugs back awkwardly "You didn't know, It wasn't your fault. I apologise too." With that she pulls away and averts her eyes. I give her a closed eye smile, relieved.

Dark Pit chooses that moment to come back...

"I just got hired!" he says, giving Y/N a smile.

Oh Flip.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"
