Chapter 19

Y/N's POV:

I woke up with a start. I looked around wildly, it seems that I'm in a cave. But why?

Then I remember the crash.

I try to get up and look for Pit but I can't stand up. My right leg collapses and I fall back down with a painful thud.

"Y/N?"

I turn and see Pit at the cave entrance with some oranges. "You're awake!" He drops them and gives me a big hug. "What happened??" I ask him pulling back he looks a bit sad "My wings stopped working so you saved me and we crashed."

"I know that but, how long was I asleep?" I question further.

"A day."

"A day?"

"A day."

"A DAY?!"

"I was asleep for a day!? We need to get on with the mission!" I exclaim looking for a stick. Pit stops me "Y/N, you're hurt!" he says concerned. I wave this off "This is important." he still looks unconvinced "Plus, if I have a stick to straighten my leg out I'll be able to walk better." he sighs and goes looking for a stick.

He comes back a few minutes later with a good stick. I take out a bandaid rom my pocket and wrap it around the stick on my leg over the cloth.

"Wait, you had a bandaid this whole time?!" he asks me. I just nod while he gestures to his ripped clothing and shakes his head.

"Can I have an orange?" I ask him he quickly nods and passes it to me. I rip it apart and savagely eat the orange. I haven't eaten in a day. "That orange is going through some pain..." Pit remarks I ignore him and keep eating.

I finish the orange and I try to stand. I wobble a bit but Pit steadies me, the pain isn't so bad now. "Let's go to the temple!" I yell Pit smiles.

I take my weapons and we walk out of the cave.

"Where is it?" I ask him. He shrugs.

Wow.

"I guess it would make sense for the temple to be in the middle of the island." I say and he nods pointing to the direction in the middle. I hold his arm so I don't fall over and we walk, or he walks and I limp to that direction.

After a few minutes we finally see the temple. It is made of stone and covered in ivy. "Well that looks pretty..." I say Pit nods in agreement.

We hesitantly walk in and we hear a clank. We quickly look up and a wall drops between us. "Y/N!" Pit yells "I'm okay! you?" I shout back.

"I'm fine. What do we do now?!" I think for a moment "I guess we have to go on. Be careful Pit." I tell him a bit scared. "See you at the other side!" he yells.

I'm all alone now.

I limp forwards. It seems that I'm in an empty room, why would it be empty? Something tells me this is more than just an empty room.

"I'm all alone." I whisper out loud without thinking.

"No you're not." Says a familiar voice. I quickly turn around and see Pit?! No this can't be Pit, Pit's eyes are a pretty blue, this.... guy has blank eyes.

This is kind of creepy. I take a step back "You're not Pit." I say. The figure chuckles "You are a burden for me." I flinch "Tat's not true! You are not Pit!"

The figure keeps talking "I always have to save you. I wish I just left you when we crashed!" I yell at it "STOP IT! YOU ARE NOT REAL!!" I take a deep breath "PIT WOULD NEVER SAY THAT!" I shout. I feel a presence behind me it's Dark. I glare at it knowing what's about to come "I wish I left you to the dogs!" I keep walking and they follow.

Artemis, Persephone and Lady Palutena appear. They say things to me and I try to ignore them hot tears forming in my eyes. I know it is real but it still hurts.

"I left you on purpose! I never wanted you!"

"I wish I turned you down! You are a terrible servant!"

"I wish I wasn't your mother!"

The fake Pit finishes it off "You are nothing."

I run trying to get away, I ignore the voices and keep running.

With Pit:

This is creepy.

I start walking, I hope Y/N's okay. I hear a furious scream "Y/N!" I call out in panic, there is no answer. Now I'm really worried.

I hear footsteps and I turn around. I see Y/N. No this isn't Y/N, she has beautiful E/C eyes while this...... uh, thing has creepy white eyes. I'm freaked out.

"It's your fault Pit. It's your fault that I'm hurt." It hisses at me. I glare at it a bit hurt "Y/N would never say that!" I snap at it and keep walking. "What type of angel are you?! You can't even fly!" It taunts me.

I growl but keep walking.

Stay calm Pit, this isn't Y/N.

Then I see Lady Palutena and Dark.

"You're useless Pit, I only keep you around because you're so stupid!" Fake Palutena glares at me scornfully. I keep walking with my hands balled.

"I'm the better of us. I think Lady Palutena should exterminate you and keep me!" Fake Dark cackles. That's it I lunge to fake dark and punch him but my hand goes through.

I can feel the tears coming as they keep taunting me, I keep walking.

"I wish I never adopted you!"

"I wish I wasn't your twin!"

But what gets the tears coming is what Y/N says:

"I will never love you."

"You are no hero."

I feel like to break down there and then, I want to curl up into a ball and cry. I feel so hurt but I remember that this isn't real and I keep walking my tears falling.

I see the a door at the end of the dark room and hesitantly open it. I step forward. I see a bright room with a mother door. I walk towards it and at the same heartbeat I see Y/N. I recoil back and Y/N does the same. Then I see her teary eyes and they are E/C.

"A-are you r-real?" I ask her.

She nods.

I run towards her and give her a big hug and she cries on my shoulder. A few tears fell from my eyes too. I hugged her tight, relieved that she was safe and that the nightmare was over. We stay like that for a few minutes and then we pull back I smile at her and she smiles back.

We open the doors together.

Hand in hand.

We see on a big pedestal,

The lightning chariot.
