Chapter 32

We step inside the temple. Right in front of us at the very back of the room is a marble throne with blue gemstones encrusted in the head of the throne. I feel a bit overwhelmed, just a few days ago I was a normal angel working for Lady Palutena.

And now... And now, I'm a goddess.

"I call dibs on the master bedroom!" Dark shouts running past me trying to look for the biggest room. "Who's the goddess here?!" I take off after him, I need the biggest bedroom. When I finally catch up to him I find him in the master bedroom, his things are already unpacked and he's pretending to sleep on the bed.

The bedroom opens up to a huge balcony overlooking the sea and mainland. The four poster bed is opposite a big desk that's next to a bookshelf. The bedroom even has an ensuite- Now I really want it.

What I'm wondering is how he unpacked so fast.

I roll my eyes and walk up to the bed. He is still 'Asleep' I try pushing him off, but he's too heavy. I grit my teeth and try to push him by stealing the duvet. It doesn't work.

I then try to find the kitchen because I have an idea.

I finally find the kitchen after about five minutes, I don't pause to look at it or to eat. Oh no, I go for the bucket. I fill he bucket with ice from the refrigerator and pour some ice cold water in from the tap.

I tiptoe into the room. Dark is too busy to notice me he's reading The lord of the rings and is fully immersed in it's plot.

Good for me.

I rise up and hide the bucket behind my back "Hello Y/N." Dark says smirking and not looking up from his book. "Dark." I say mildly "Care to get off MY bed??" I smile. "How about no?!" He continues reading his book.

Mood.

I give him another chance to save himself "Are you sure?" I press hoping he will answer 'No'. He keeps reading, I'll take that as a no.

I dump the ice on top of him.

He lets out a high pitched scream but then tries to cover it up "I mean- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" I start giggling seeing him soaking wet in the cold water a couple of ice cubes on top of his head. He gets up his head bowed down and tosses his book on the bed. He has a strangely calm look in his eyes and a small smile.

I immediately stop laughing.

I better start running.

I run out the hall onto the marble floor, Dark's footsteps behind me encourage me to run even faster. The hall's about to end! My thoughts race and like an idiot I go into a room. I stop to catch my breath inside the room thinking I'm as good as gone.

"Y/N!" Dark calls out in a singsong voice. I frantically look around the bedroom, Where is he?! I'm getting nervous now... He just laughed! This isn't good...

I back away with my back facing a bed. Something grabs my foot. I scream as I'm pulled down onto the floor and under the bed, screaming all the time. Blood rushes in my head and my thoughts race. I can feel my heartbeat quicken.

I try to get out thinking that there's some monster behind me, the monster pulls me back.

"PLEASE DON'T EAT ME! DARK TASTES BETTER THAN I DO!"

"I do?"

That response made me freeze. I turned on my other side to face the 'monster' . Dark looked back at me smirking a little "Boo." he started laughing.

My fear turned into anger "IT WAS YOU!" I snap glaring at him. "Yep!" I crawl out from under the bed Dark follows after me and looks at me "If a monster did get you would you really sic it on me to save yourself?" he teases. I ignore him "HOW DID YOU EVEN GET THERE WITHOUT ME NOTICING?!" I ask a bit creeped out.

"Maybe you were too scared to hear?" he offers laughing again "Your face was priceless!"

I grab Pit's slipper and throw it at Dark.

(NO I AM NOT LETTING PIT'S SLIPPER RIP. I NEED IT)

"OW!" Dark rubs his cheek "Where did you even get that?!" he asks at me looking at Pit's slipper.

"After Persephone threw it at Hades I secretly picked it up and took it in case I needed to throw it at someone. Looks like my instincts were right." I explain.

Dark rolls his eyes and opens his mouth to say something but gets interrupted.

"Y/N! Are you okay?!"

It's Pit. Makes sense, I'm still wearing the laurel.

"I'm fine!" I tell him not wanting him to panic Dark has other ideas "I pulled her under the bed and scared her!" he laughs once more.

I don't hear anything else because Pit is talking to Dark. It's the most one sided conversation I have ever heard.

"She's fine!"

"What?"

"EWWWW! GROSS! NO!"

"OF COURSE I'M SURE!"

"What do you take me as?!"

"NO WE DIDN'T!"

"I didn't betray you!"

"Of course I know that!"

"What do you mean how did you know?!"

"It's so obvious!"

"YES PIT I AM SURE WE DIDN'T!"

"DOn't call me that!"

"..."

"So..."

"What do you mean you can't find them?!"

"WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE AT SOUP?!"

"WHAT STORE ARE YOU AT?!

WHY ARE YOU BUYING CLOTHES AT THE SOUP STORE?!?!"

"I didn't know you knew how to swear Pit."

"I won't tell her!"

"I PROMISE!"

"BYE!"

(AN: I think you can tell what Pit assumed-)

Dark finally hangs up.

I look at him with a raised eyebrow he hides his smile and says "Nothing." before going out the room.

"Where are you going?" I follow him "To get my stuff so I can move into this room." he looks over his shoulder at me. "I'm not sleeping there either! It's still wet from the ice!" I protest "Not my problem!" he smirks.

I sigh exasperated and go to get my things, I walk to the second bedroom. There are only two, I wish Zeus had made three!

I drop my bags on the floor and sit on the bed waiting for Dark. At last he comes after bringing practically his whole wardrobe "Where will I sleep?!" he demands. I just lazily point to the floor where I set up a mattress for him.

"But this is my room!"

"But this is my temple!"

"OUR temple"

"OUR room"

"FINE!"

Dark tosses his pillow and lays down. I go out to the bathroom in the master bedroom to get ready. I change into my PJs and brush my teeth. I rush back to my room where Dark is ready too. I smile hearing him grumble about being on the floor.

I lay down anticipating the party tomorrow.

"Goodnight BurntSFA!"

"Goodnight Tsunderebalancebeam!"
