I dropped Crys off a few hours ago and I was just sitting here bored then I got a FaceTime call from Mililani

"Bestieee!!" Mililani yelled into the phone
"Jesus girl. Why are you yelling?" I winced at my aching ears

"Lol sorry! I'm just so excited!" She squealed

"I can definitely tell lol"

"What's all this excitement about?" I asked

"Well, I just left my doctors appointment, and we got the gender today! Since last time didn't work they wouldn't be still, so we went back last minute and we got it! Well mom does, I'm super excited for our reveal! You still are coming right!?" She asked

"Shit." I face palmed myself

"I completely forgot Lani. I'm sorry, Crys came down and her family is having an event she wants me there for." She looked at me with sad eyes

"It's fine I guess." She said with a small smile but I could tell she was upset

"I'm sorry Lani I really am. I completely forgot." I said sighing

"No it's ok. Really. You will just have to do it virtually. Since that's the new thing." She chuckled. Covid was hell and I hate to relive it. Everything is trying to get back to normal.

"I guess that could work. I really wish I could be there. I owe you sis. I'll send your gift tho."

"Yea you owe me big time. And a nice ass whopping. But I guess this just means you and Crys are doing good right?" She asked

"Well I mean, I don't think that's the case. I've met them already we aren't that serious. Yea we care about each other but we aren't really a thing."

"Oh girl please. She likes you, and you like her. So what's the big deal? Y'all slept together?" She asked she knows a little of me and Crystals relationship but not everything. We just agreed to get things between us.

"Um No." I chuckled nervously as I lied

"Yea right. You lying. But fine don't tell me. I know y'all really like each other. I personally think you guys look great together. But anywho. Ima mind mines. And cam gonna beat your ass for real. You know we miss you it's been a year." She wasn't lying I hadn't seen them since last year I've been so busy with my career and I just haven't had the time.

"I know. I really deserve it. I miss y'all to! Y'all need to visit me anyway!" They came down here once or twice in the 3 years I've been here. Not that I'm complaining but I do make the trip more than them. It be nice to have them here sometimes.

"Yea I know, we are. I promise!"

"But let me go before cam start yelling if I don't come back down." She smiled

"Please go then. I don't want no smoke." I laughed

"Bye stink! I'll call you later."

"Bye love y'all!" I said

"Love you more!" She said before hanging up. Now let me let y'all in on a little secret. Of course I was going to be there! I couldn't miss this for the world. I gots to be there for my niece or nephew great reveal! I just wanted to surprise her. I'll also have Crystal with me since she's flying back this weekend anyway. Anywho out of boredom I called Crys

"Hey" she smiled into the camera

"Wassup, what y'all doing?"

"Nothing now. Everyone left and I think everyone is asleep."

"Cant sleep?" I asked

"Nah, just up thinking. Wyd?"

"Was talking to Lani. What's got your mind uneasy?" I asked I could tell something was wrong

"Nothing really." She looked away

"I know it's something, you know you can tell me."

"Is fine really. You should have stayed with me."

"Awe is that what it is? You missing me."

"Maybe." She rolled her eyes

"Want me to come over?" She nodded

"I'll be there in a few." I said before we both hung up. I grabbed my phone and charger before heading out i also had two pre rolled blunts in my car. It didn't take me long, about five minutes and I was there. I texted her and told her to come outside. She came out in some shorts and a hoodie with some slides and socks on.

"Hey" she blushed getting in. I was already feeling good since I smoked one a little before Mililani called. And she was looking hella good right now

"Come here." I said eyeing her. I leaned my seat all the way back giving her room to climb over. Which she gladly did.

"Wanna smoke with me?" She nodded and we both got a blunt and hotboxed this joint. She laid on my chest as we talked and enjoyed each other's company

"I really do be missing you. More than I should be I think." She confessed

"I miss you to."

"No I don't think you get it." She said sitting up

"I find myself thinking more about you, about us. And wanting you in ways that I feel like I shouldn't." She continued

"What do you mean in ways that you shouldn't?"

"In the beginning I was ok with what we had. But now, I find myself wanting more. I want to be more than your friend that you fuck occasionally."

"You mean so much more to me. If I make you feel that way we don't have to keep doing this."

"You missed the whole point." She said getting off my lap and back into her seat

"Then tell me." I knew what she wanted I just wanted her to say it

"I want you. All to myself."

"But you do. I'm not out here entertaining theses other bitches." I said grabbing her hand

"Don't feel like it. Especially since every time you get a chance you let the whole world know we not together." She pulled away looking out the window

"I didn't know you felt some way about it."

"I don't. But this in secret shit makes me self conscious. I mean we are fucking, we talk every day I damn near come see you every other weekend. Our conversation and connection is more than friends." She said and I could tell this was something that has been bothering her.

"I just don't like people in our business. Why haven't you told me this. I thought you were ok with all of this." I said making her look back at me I could see tears on the verge of falling

"Because. I know that, no matter what I do that I can never be her. You will never love me like you love her."
