I woke up rolling over to an empty bed.
"Kodie?" I called out. No answer. I stretched grabbing my phone from the nightstand to check the time. It was 10:21am and I don't have any text or calls from kodie so maybe she went to get breakfast or change. I sat all the way up and what I saw made my jaw drop. It was several bouquets of black roses covering the bed.

Roses are red, well these are black. Just know I'll do everything in my power to get you back. I may have left you to the unknown, but I'm grateful for that time because we've grown. I've grown to love you more than I could imagine. That's why I plan on marrying you one day and loving you with all my passion..on this day while I have you all to myself I couldn't imagine it being with someone else.

I don't know what came over me but I cried like a baby. Never had I gotten this experience before and it made me all emotional and jittery inside. I went into the bathroom as told and saw a sticky note attached to the mirror.

Smiling from ear to ear I danced around the bathroom in excitement. I got myself together and did as told. I dressed in a solid white tee with some grey sweats a few chains and my watch with a pair of slides. I threw my hair into my signature low bun grabbed my phone and room key and headed out to the beach. Surprisingly no one was out today. I walked down closer to the water and I kid you not my jaw hit the floor.
