Just A Girl (Dr. Strange × Y/n)

Part 5

After visiting Stephen, you go back to the compound and see that everyone was helping set up your party. It was pretty early but it made sense that they wanted to finish early and have time to get ready.

You walked to the kitchen and found wanda with vision. They were literally made for each other. You wished you had something like their relationship. It was so pure. Yeah they had their ups and downs but they were always there for each other.

"Hey y/n" wanda noticed you walk in. "Ready for today?"

"Yeah. I still need to find something to wear though"

"Perhaps wanda can help you with that" vision turns to look at wanda.

"I would love to help you with that" she said with a big smile. "We can go shopping while everyone else is setting up the place. It would be fun"

"Yeah that sounds fun. Let's do it"

Wanda smiles and then turns to look at vision and gives him a kiss. It made you happy to see her be happy. She had had happiness she wanted. She had found the person she knew she would spend the rest of her life with. They were connected. Literally in a way.

You and wanda were heading out to the garage to get her car. You two get inside and head out of the compound.

There was some silence along the way.

"You should find someone" wanda said glancing at you.

"What?"

"Sorry. I just meant that after what happened with parker, I feel like you should find new people. See what happens. You deserve to be happy y/n. You have a big heart"

"Yeah I guess I should" you already had someone in your mind. Stephen. You looked down and tried to hide your smile from wanda but.. well you can't really hide anything from her.

"Strange? Is he the guy who's got you all happy?" She said with a smile and a chuckle.

"Wanda! Why-"

"Hey I get it! I guess he is pretty good looking" she said giving you a small smirk.

You just smiled and shaked your head looking straight at the road.

After some time you got to the place where there was some pretty nice outfits. You wanted to find something nice. You wanted Stephen to be there but unfortunately he wouldn't go. That wouldn't stop you from looking good on your big day.

"Okay I found some amazing dresses that would look amazing on you. Who am I kidding. You look amazing in anything. Here try this one on" she hands you a tight, short, red dress.

"Okay I'll be back"

You go inside the dressing rooms and slip into the dress. It was really tight. It did fit but you could see every curve of your body. The dress exposed your back and had a low cut on the front. It was a beautiful dress. You looked yourself in the mirror and wondered how Stephen would've reacted if he saw you in the dress.

After putting on the dress you get out of the dressing room to show wanda how it looks.

"How does it look?" You asks wanda and she turns around to look at you.

"I'm out of words. That dress looks so good on you!!" She gets closer to you to admire the dress on you.

"Don't you think it's a bit revealing?"

"Hey its better that way. It's your big day and who knows, maybe strange might show up" she teases you with a smile.

"Ok but what if he doesn't"

"That doesn't matter y/n! Just take the dress and have the best night of your life" she says grabbing both of your hands.

"Okay fine I'll take it" you smile and both of you laugh and hug each other.

After paying for the dress and getting new heels, both of you head out of the place, back into the car and head to the compound.

Once you got there you saw that everything was ready for the night. You and wanda walked in and saw Steve.

"Hey y/n ready for tonight?" He smiles at you

"Yeah. I'm ready"

"Okay good" he says and leaves.

You go inside your room and start to get ready with wanda and nat. You only had a few hours left before everyone arrived and well girls take their time to look good. You had done your make up. Not to much though, you went for a natural look. And you straighten your hair. You helped nat and wanda with their make up as well. You had a good hand with that. Nat as always wanted her hair curled and wanda wanted her natural hair.

After helping them with their hair and makeup they both dressed up and you went after both of them.

When you got out of the closet to change you walked out and realized that nat hadn't seen your dress yet.

"Oh my. That dress is definitely something"

"I know it's very revealing"

"And sexy. It looks amazing on you" wanda and nat laugh.

"Okay it's past the time everyone was supposed to get here so we better go downstairs. Well go down first and after you come down" wanda said standing up and leaving with nat.

You nodded and waited for a bit till both if then were downstairs. You were nervous. Even though you knew Stephen wasn't going to be there, you wanted him to. But you tried to forget about that and focused on having a good night.

After some minutes of waiting you heard people downstairs chanting your name. You looked yourself once again in the mirror and headed downstairs. You were walking downstairs and when you saw people waiting for you, they started cheering. Both Clint and laura came up to you first.

"Happy birthday again sweetie. God you look amazing" Laura look down at your dress smiling.

"It's a little revealing don't you think" he says giving you a kiss on the forehead.

"Oh shut it. She looks amazing" Laura playfully hits him.

"Okay well go say hi to the rest of the guests" he hugs you one more time and you leave.

You walked saying hi to people who you didn't know but they were most likely some of Tony's friends or people from work.

Then you got where the whole team was gathered sitting near the bar. Yes, you guys had your own bar. Thank you Tony.

They all hugged you and looked amazed at how you looked in your dress. They all said happy birthday once more and then wanda and nat pulled you aside.

"Here drink this" they handed you a shot.

You took it and drank it.

"We have a surprise for you" they both said smiling and grabbing your arms.

"A surprise?" You were confused.

They both nodded. "Here put this on" they handed you a cloth to cover your eyes.

"You guys aren't trying to get me killed or something right?" You said laughing and putting on the cloth.

The didn't say anything else and just grabbed you as soon as your eyes were covered. They stated to lead you through the crown and then you felt like you were outside the balcony since you felt the breeze hit you. Then they stopped grabbing you. And it went silent.

"Should I take this off now?"

There was no response.

"I think you should" a voice called out and you knew exactly whose it was.

You took off the cloth and saw Stephen standing a few feet away from you in a tux and with bouquet with your favorite type of flowers on his hand. You were too shocked to speak. He actually came to your party.
