Just A Girl (Dr. Strange × Y/n)

Part 8

After what happened with Stephen, you went back to the compound. You were hurt. You thought that he would be different from the rest and that he would want to be with you but you were wrong. He only saw you as some girl who he has just met. Maybe you shouldn't of had let your heart fall for him. But you couldn't help it. Something about him the day you met him made you feel happy. Just one look at him and you fell immediately. It was like love at first sight. But who believes in that now. No one really does.

There could've been a reason why Stephen acted that way but you didn't bother to think about that. No one could blame you though. After what happened with peter, you had almost lost hope on finding someone who would truly love you and now with what Stephen said to you, you had completely lost that hope. It was gone. You didn't even know if that hope would come back. The only person you though would make you happy for the rest of your life wanted you away from him. And for what? To keep you safe? In what kind of danger would you be in with him around?

You got to the compound and it was quiet. And I mean really quiet. It was rarely this way. It was only this quiet when there was a very serious meeting. You had obviously missed it so you went to the office where you saw everyone with serious faces and looking at you and well the bad thing was that Stephen was also there.

You looked down to avoid his eyes. You walked towards Steve Steve sat down next to him.

"What's going on? Why is everyone looking at me so seriously" You whispered to Steve.

"Something is not right" he said looking down at some files.

"What do you mean?" You glanced up and saw strange already looking at you. He seemed a bit sad but you didn't pay much attention to it. You looked back to steve and the files.

"After what happened to you last night, there was some strange things going on"

"What things?"

"Look here. What do you see here?"

You looked down at the pictures in front of you. You layed down on the floor after seeing the visions you had but there was another you standing in the crowd.

"That's you y/n" Steve looked at you.

"That can't be me Steve. I was unconscious. You can see me laying there" you looked back at him.

"Then who could that be"

You didn't say anything. You were just as confused as he was. That was you standing in the crowd but you were also laying on the floor unconscious.

You decided to speak up and ask Stephen a question.

"Strange. Do you know what could be happening here?"

His expression was as if he was surprised you called him strange and not by his actual name. You also saw nat glance at wanda. You forgot they didn't know about what happened with strange.

"I wouldn't know." He looked down at the picture once more then looked back up "this could've maybe been your soul coming out of your body."

"That's impossible. I didn't see myself when that happened."

"Then what did you see?" Tony asked.

You were hesitant to say what you saw because you knew it would worry everyone. You knew Stephen already knew what you had seen but it was weird he didn't know what caused it.

"I was dead. Someone was with me. I couldn't figure out who it was but... I'm sure that whoever that is standing there, isn't me"

Everyone looked at each other. Concerned. More now that you said you saw yourself dead.

"We need to take precautions. We can't let her be harmed." Steve spoke up.

"We need to find out who that person is. Whoever she is, she wants to harm y/n. And I'm not taking the risk of losing my daughter." Clint added. He seemed very worried.

There was a moment of silence but then Stephen spoke again.

"I might know someone who can help"

"Please enlighten us" you said looking at him.

"I found this girl with the ability to travel between universes. Maybe she can help and know who she is. If that girl in the picture is y/n, then she can be from another universe."

"Okay perfect. Bring her in" Tony spoke and grabbed the pictures.

While you were waiting for the girl to come, Nat and wanda walked up to you.

"What happened?" Wanda sat next to you.

"What do you mean." You clearly knew they were asking about Stephen but you didn't want to talk about it.

"You know what I mean 'strange'. You didn't even call his by his name. Something happened"

"Yeah well I don't want to talk about it. There are more important things to focus on right now."

They didnt say anything else. They understood that you didn't feel like taking about it.

After some time of waiting, you see a portal open and a young girl about your sister's age come out of there.

Stephen stood up and walked towards her.

"This is America Chavez. She has the ability to travel through universes. She ended up in our universe after losing her mother's and leaving her home. She has been learning to control her powers that she can now fully control."

"Can she know if the girl standing in the picture is y/n from another universe?" Tony asked.

"I'm pretty sure I can. I've been through multiple universes. I can fully control my power. I can search for a universe in which y/n is not in and I can see if she is here to be good or bad."

"Okay perfect. We'll give you as much time as you need" tiny smiled at her.

"It won't take that long. I'll be able to know" she smiled back at Tony.

"She's pretty confident. That's good" you whispered to nat.

You saw America open some kind of portals in form of a star. They were going by very quickly until finally it stopped in one. Then the portal closed.

"What did you find." Stephen asked her.

She turned around concerned and looked at you.

"It isn't good" she looked at everyone.

"What is it?" Clint asked her.

"There is a universe in which y/n is missing. The bad thing is that she's up to no good."

"What is she gonna do?" Tony asked worried.

"She wants to kill you" she looked straight at you.

Everyone then looked at you. Stephen looked even more worried. But how could he have know you were going to be in danger around him. He looked as surprised as everyone else when they found out that basically your other you wanted to kill you but you just didn't know what was the reason why she would want to.
