Just A Girl (Dr. Strange × Y/n)

Part 16

After fury went over what everyone had to do, you all started to get ready. Tony had asked Jarvis to prepare the jet while the rest got anything they needed like weapons. After that you all started to head to the jet and sat down in the seats. As you sat down, Stephen came over and sat in the seat next to you. Then he leaned in to buckle you up. Then he looked up at you and gave you a small smile. And you returned it. Reassuring him that everything will be okay. After that he grabbed your hand and kept it there for a while. His touch made you feel safe.

"Do we know when she's gonna be there?" Nat asked.

"We aren't sure. She didn't give me any specific time. She just mentioned the place she would be in. She could be there already or maybe get there after us" you said.

Everyone turned to look at each other. You had a feeling this wont end well for you. Stephen knew it too but he knew if he tried to stop you, your answer would always be the same as before. You wont stop. Not even if he begged you. Because you loved him. You dont know if he loves you. Maybe he does. Maybe he doesnt.

You just think about all the possibilities. You just hope that no one else gets hurt in the process of it. You just stare straight ahead. Thinking. Zoning out. Worried. About everyone there. If you had to fight her alone you would. But you knew they wouldn't want that.

Stephen turned to look at you. You were breathing hard. Panting. Almost as if you were running out of air.

"Hey y/n are you ok?" He takes your hand in his whispering to you. But you don't respond. "Y/n!" He whispers again but I'm a louder tone. Then you snap out of it. And turn to look at him.

"What happened? Are you ok?" He places his hand on your cheek. You're still breathing heavily trying to recover.

"Yeah. Sorry I just got lost in my own mind" you say as you try to compose yourself.

"Did you have another vision?" He asks

"No nothing like that, I guess I don't know what's to come..." you say still looking down.

"You don't have to do this... please"

You turn to look at him, tears are forming in your eyes. At the look of you his face turns into a concerned look.

"I don't have a choice Stephen..." you whispered, a tear already falling down your cheek.

"You do have a choice y/n, she wants me. I could distract her, make her think I'll surrender and go with her and then I can end her, but please y/n-"

"I can't let you do that" you take a deep breath in.

"Why not?"

"Because I... I-" You're about to say it but get interrupted by Tony.

"We're here"

You look back down and wipe of your tears. "We should get going" you say as you stand up and head to where Tony is standing.

"Any sign of her?" You stand behind him trying to look for her as well.

"Not yet."

There's a moment of silence between the two of you.

"Why are you doing this y/n. Why risk your life. Your family will lose you. We will lose you. Why do you want to do this" he doesn't turn to look at you.

"I would do anything to protect the people I love.. just like someone I know" you look at him but he doesn't turn to look at you.

"I guess I have to blame myself for that" he sighs.

"You taught me a lot of things Tony" you smile "and you still do"

Finally Tony turns to look at you and then brings you in to give you a hug. Usually Tony isn't the type to share his feelings, or let anyone see what he's feeling, he tries to look strong. That's something else you got from him but sometimes those feelings break through.

Some time after, everyone is ready and soon the jet lands on some place where she won't be able to see it. You're the one to get out first, you're the one she wants to kill after all. You tell wanda that as soon as she sees her, to try to get in her mind to block her power.

You are walking through the place and then spot someone standing in the middle of it.

"You made it" you hear her say.

"I'm here."
