Just A Girl (Dr. Strange × Y/n)

Part 14

That same day you were with nat and wanda in your room. You talked to wanda about if she could be able to block the power your other you had. She had been practicing on you. Nat will tell you what she's going to do and you have to pretend like you have that power. Wanda will make you basically forget about it so you don't know what's going to happen.

"This should be easy to do right?" Wanda stated.

"I just thought about the disadvantage that we have." You paused and wanda looked at nat then back at you "she knows we are doing this right now. She'll know when you'll get inside her mind"

"Yeah well she doesn't have the power to stop me from doing it. She just knows that we are" wanda said.

"That's true. She'll know we'd be going for her mind but won't be able to do anything about it."

Wanda was honestly smart. And powerful. You were glad to have her in the team.

There was some silence. You clearly forgot what nat was going to do because she scared you with a loud noise that made you jump.

"It worked" nat said.

"What worked?" You looked confused. Clearly wanda did it.

"You forgot about what nat was going to do" wanda started to smile.

"I did?" You looked at both of them.

"Do you think I can make it into hers?"

"Well she has a stronger mind but I'm sure that you're stronger than her. We should tell the rest about this. We need to get ready"

Nat and wanda nodded in agreement and all of you headed to the meeting room and called everyone in.

"What's going on" Tony asked.

"I was able to get into y/n's mind" wanda replied.

"That's great. You think you'll be able to get into hers?"

"Not sure but I'm confident that I'll be able to" she reassures him.

"Okay that's good enough. We need to get ready. Rogers call banner in and have him get ready. Same goes for all of you. Hopefully we get to end this" Tony said.

This was it. You were going to take her down. After everything. You though you'd live a life without any problems and be happy with someone. That someone came into your life but so did problems. You thought it'll go smoothly. No one to break you apart but you were wrong in that. The next thing you'll know is that he'll probably be by himself. If you die...

You didn't even want to think about it. You didn't want to think about dying. You just thought about what you were doing for Stephen. To keep him safe. A woman can save a man too. People sometimes don't get that. And I mean Stephen is actually more powerful than you. You're just some girl with no special abilities. You were strong though. At first you thought Stephen would be able to handle the problem. And you had no doubt in that. You knew he could but you want to help. You didn't want him to go. You knew he'd go with her to keep you safe but you weren't going to allow that. You wanted him safe. She would know every move of his if he ever tried to escape from her. That's why it had to be you.

You spaced out for a bit. Thinking about all the possibilities. Everyone had left the meeting room. You remained sitting down. Thinking. What if someone else other than you dies. So many questions.

"Y/n"

Stephen came up from behind and then kneeled beside you. You then turned to look at him. You knew he wanted to talk you out of it.

"Y/n we need to talk-"

"Stephen I'm not changing my mind. I'm not backing out" you turned your chair to face him.

"Please y/n don't do this.."

"I have to"

"No you don't!" Stephen said almost shouting. Then he took a deep breath in and looked down trying to compose himself.

"Please understand. I don't want you to get hurt" you grabbed both of his hands and looked down at the scars on both of his hands. "You've gotten hurt before."

"But I healed y/n. And now I have the power to protect you. Why can't you understand that I can't lose you" he looked up to meet your eyes

"You might not lose me"

"You don't know that y/n. And if I do lose you. I'm gonna blame myself for it"

"Don't blame yourself-"

"I will because if you die then I didn't do a good job in protecting you" Stephen looked down.

"You're doing a good job in protecting and being here with me now. That's all that matters"

Stephen looks up at you again. You smile at him and place your hand on his cheek pulling him closer to you and kissing him.
