Just A Girl (Dr. Strange × Y/n)

Part 7

The next day you wake up and see Steve sitting next to you. Your head still hurt a bit but not as much as last night. You were still confused on what had happened. You hadn't drank anything to make you feel that way and it couldn't have been a drink or food that made you see things. It was something else but you didn't know what.

"How are you feeling" Steve put his hand on your shoulder.

"I'm feeling better" you both stayed quiet. You then stood up and went to the bathroom to get changed. You get out and grab your things.

"Where are you going?"

"I need to go see Stephen"

"Strange? Does he have something to do with this?" Steve sounded mad. As if he was thinking he had done something to you.

"No. I just need to talk to him" you don't say anything else.

"Y/n wait-" Steve said before you shut the door and head out.

You walked to the garage and grabbed your car keys to head over to Stephen's place. As you were driving through the city, you were wondering if he had something to do with what happened to you last night. What if Steve was right. Had he done something to you? You wouldn't believe it though. He was so sweet and caring towards you. You would even say he was protective over you. You didn't think he would want you to get harmed in any way.

You parked and quickly headed inside.

You saw Wong but didn't bother to say hi. You just wanted to talk to Stephen. You walked straight to the stairs but Wong tried to stop you.

"Y/n Stephen is not here" he tried to grab you but you stepped away from him.

"You're lying. I know he's here"

"Well he's busy"

You dont look at him and just head straight up.

"Y/n!" Is all you head before his voice starts to fade away as you head towards where Strange might be.

As you get there, you open the doors and burst inside.

"We need to talk Stephen" you start to walk towards him.

"What are you doing. You can't be here y/n" he stands up and walk towards you grabbing your arm and trying to take you out.

"I'm not leaving. Please let go"

He hesitates but let's go. "I'm serious. You cannot be here"

"Why not? What happened last night? You just left. Why?"

"It's for your own good"

"Did you have something to do with what happened to me last night?" You worried that he was involved with it. You were hopping he wasn't.

"Of course not y/n. Why would you think that" he sounded a bit mad. He was almost screaming.

"Then why did you leave? You said sorry too which was more confusing" There's a moment of silence "Do you know something?"

"All i can tell you is that I can't be with you." He looked at you worried. "We cannot be together"

"Why not?"

"With me.. you're not safe" it looked like he wanted to grab you but he was hesitant.

"What is that supposed to mean?" You started to get worried.

"Just leave y/n"

"I'm not leaving Stephen. I need more explaining than you just telling me that I'm not safe with you."

"Y/n I need you to leave pleas-"

"No I'm not leaving" you almost screamed at him. "Why can't I stay with you. Just because you think I'm not going to be safe? I feel safe with you Stephen. You make me feel safe and I have never felt the way I feel with someone else before. Why dont you want me with you?"

"You're just a girl!" He bursts out.

That made your heart sink. Did you mean nothing to him? Were you just a girl like he said? So many thoughts went through your head as he said that. You thought that you meant something to him but you were wrong.

You felt a knot form inside your throat. You grabbed your car keys. "I shouldn't of had come here" you tried your best not to cry but unfortunately you did.

You ran out and didn't look back.

"Y/n I didn't mean-" it was too late. You had already walked out before hearing what Stephen had to say.
