"I'll see you guys after work. I love you."

Placing a kiss onto both my mother and father's cheeks, I was finally ready to leave the house and head to work.

The closing shift at the convenience store isn't my favorite, but I'm not going to complain about work.

As I walked to the store, I stopped on the way to pick up my best friend, Pinky.

She only works Saturday nights with me, but we enjoy the time together. It makes the dull work night go by so much quicker.

Pinky was waiting outside her house, an excited look on her face.

"What's up with you?" I giggled, linking my arm with hers. Pinky squealed in response, "My parents just agreed to allow me to study in Japan."

"Are you serious?" I gasped, squeezing her out of excitement. "Pink, that's so amazing!" She nodded, a wide grin plastered on her face.

"When do you leave?" "Two weeks."

"That's so soon, though." I pouted, only causing her to chuckle.

"It's not like we won't talk to each other every night, Hyun."

"Okay, true." We both laughed, sighing once we reached the store.

"I hope you're ready for a boring night." She mumbled, smiling fakely at the manager as we entered. "Sir, I need to discuss something with you, if you have time."

"Of course, Pinky. Let's go to the back. Hi, Dahyun!" "Hi, Mr. Kim!"

The both of them walked to the back as I clocked in, looking over our tasks for the night.

It looks like Mr. Kim had gotten most of the stuff done this morning, so it must have been slow.

Which is unfortunate for Pinky and I because that means we won't have much to do. Guess we'll just have to talk all night.

Mr. Kim and Pinky both came back out, Mr. Kim clearly saddened by the recent news.

"Well...I'll see you girls tomorrow. Call me if you need anything."

"Have a good night, Mr. Kim!" We both waved him off before turning to each other and sighing.

"I checked over the sheet, Mr. Kim did practically everything. All we have to do is straighten and stock as the night goes on."

"Fun." Pinky sighed, leaning over the counter.

"I vote we just eat ice cream and look over air bnb's in Japan." "I am so down." I chuckled, going to get our ice cream.

-

Pinky and I must have been looking over places to stay and places to visit in Japan for a couple of hours at this point, only having a handful of customers enter the store within that time.

It was nearing ten o'clock at night when all of a sudden, the door swung open, three girls walking in.

Pinky put her phone away, both of us hiding our snacks behind the counter.

"Welcome in." Pinky greeted, getting smiles from all three girls.

One of the girls kept her eyes on me as she walked behind the others, our eyes locking before she turned away.

"She's cute." I mumbled, looking over the girl as the three of them opened the door for the ice cream.

"They usually come in on Monday nights, I'm not sure why they're here now."

"They come in a lot?" My eyes never left the blonde. Something about her was just alluring.

Pinky hummed, tapping my shoulder to take my attention off the girl. "I've heard they're trouble, though, so don't get any ideas."

Pouting, I glanced back at the blonde only to notice her eyes were still on me. "I make no promises."

A few minutes passed before they all walked up, placing their ice creams onto the counter.

"Hey, Pinky." "Hey, guys. Changing up the ice cream schedule?"

"Yeah, we really needed it tonight. We'll still see you Monday, though." One of the girls smiled fondly at Pinky before her attention was placed on me.

"Hi, I'm Sana. This is Tzuyu and Chaeyoung." She pointed at both girls, Tzuyu being a brunette while Chaeyoung was the alluring blonde.

Chaeyoung.

The name repeated in my head as I smiled at the three, bowing softly. "My name is Dahyun, it's nice to meet you."

The one named Tzuyu paid for the ice cream, handing each of the girls theirs before they all turned and smiled at us.

"Have a good night, girls." "You too!"

I watched the blonde leave, catching one last glimpse of her beautiful eyes before they were out the door.

Pinky slapped my shoulder, giggling, "I told you to not get any ideas."

"And I said I made no promises." I giggled, earning a glare from the girl.

"I mean it, Dahyun. I don't want to have to come back from Japan just to kick your ass."

Putting my hands up in defense, I just chuckled. "Okay okay. I'll keep a distance from them."

"From her." She instructed, glaring once more. "Fine, from her."

"Good. Now," She pulled our snacks out from under the counter, as well as her phone. "We still haven't decided on the perfect place yet."
