The sound of a gun going off could be heard, the sound seeming to stop time.

As my head turned toward the sound, I could see Yuna standing a few yards ahead of me, her gun pointed right at me.

Her eyes were piercing mine with nothing but hatred.

But as the bullet neared, Dahyun came into view.

She soon jumped in front of me, her face falling blank as everyone began screaming.

"Dahyun?" I choked out, watching as her body began to fall limp.

I caught her in my arms as she fell to the ground.

I could hear all of the girls screaming in the background but I couldn't make out what anyone was saying.

Glancing back, I saw one of The Villains forcing Yuna down with her sword, Yuna's hands raised above her head in defeat.

Her eyes remained glued to mine as that same hatred still radiated in them.

Tzuyu walked up to the girl, shooting her execution-style in the head. Yuna fell to the ground, her blood beginning to pool around her.

My attention was brought back to Dahyun as she took hold of my hand, giving it the smallest squeeze.

"Chae." Her voice was hoarse, that glimmer in her eyes fading.

"Tell my mom...tell her I'm so...sorry."

"No, you tell her yourself. You're going to be fine." I cried out, holding onto her for dear life.

Dahyun smiled gently, "I love you."

All of the girls began to crowd around us, Soyeon on her phone to someone as Sana and Tzuyu tried their best to stop the bleeding.

"Chae, we've got to get her out if she's gonna make it." Sana mumbled, her voice trembling.

I could only nod, stepping back so that Momo and Tzuyu could take Dahyun to the car.

Soyeon walked up to Sana and I, her eyes sharp as she exclaimed, "Follow us to our doctor."

Sana nodded, taking hold of my hand before she dragged me to the car.

I was numb, I couldn't move. The love of my life is going to die.

I promised myself that if I found love, I wouldn't join the gang. I knew I couldn't have both. But I tried anyway.

Dahyun was the one to suffer the consequences, though. Not me.

After we piled into the car, Sana followed The Villains to wherever it is we were going while I sat in the passenger seat, trying my best to not break down.

I could hear Momo and Tzuyu discussing what to do in order to hold Dahyun until we got to the doctor and it was breaking my heart.

After what seemed like forever, we finally pulled up to a building that looked similar to The House.

"Is this safe? Can we trust them?" Momo questioned Sana, worry written on her face.

Sana turned in her seat, glaring at the raven haired girl. Momo only nodded, clearly understanding that Sana knows best.

I mean, The Villains seem trustworthy. They protected Dahyun against her psycho ex best friend, so I'd say we can trust them.

I hope.

Momo and Tzuyu carried Dahyun out, two of The Villains coming up to help as we all headed towards the building.

A lady opened the door, and Soyeon quickly briefed her on the situation.

The lady only nodded, ushering all of us inside and to her workspace.

Dahyun was laid onto the table, gasping softly at the action.

The lady, who I'm assuming is the doctor, quickly began to work on Dahyun.

Biting my lip, I rested my hand on Sana's shoulder as I told her I'd be waiting outside. "I can't watch this."

She nodded, placing her hand over mine. "I understand. We'll be out in a minute."

As I walked out into the hallway, I slid down the wall and rested my head in my hands.

She's going to die.

This is all my fault.

I should have stayed away.

First, she loses her family, then her best friend, and now her life.

All because I couldn't help but fall in love.

Silent tears began to fall down my face, the painful thoughts racing around my mind.

I felt someone's hand rest on my shoulder, and as I looked up, it was one of The Villains.

"My name's Yuqi." She spoke softly, her voice a little deeper than I expected. It was oddly calming, though.

"She'll be okay. She seems like a fighter."

Nodding gently, I sniffled back my tears as everyone exited the room, except for the doctor.

"This is Minnie, Miyeon, Shuhua, and Soyeon." Yuqi introduced everyone, all of the girls waving with gentle smiles.

I waved back as Sana sat next to me, wrapping her arm around my shoulder to try to comfort me.

"It's going to be okay." She tried to comfort me but I could tell she didn't fully believe her own words.

None of us know how this is going to turn out. Dahyun could very possibly die tonight.

If she survives, she'll be the luckiest person in ONCE history.

We all waited in the hallway, barely speaking to one another, as we waited on any kind of update on Dahyun.

It seemed like hours had passed before the door was opening, the doctor walking out.

Her hands and arms were covered in blood, her apron a matching dark red.

She closed the door behind her, her eyes scanning the hallway.

Her eyes finally met mine, her sad orbs staring back into mine for a second before she softly shook her head.
