God, my head is killing me. What was on that cloth?
Opening my eyes, I peered around the room I was currently in.
The walls were a muted yellow tone, so I was definitely in someone's home, not in some run down shack in the middle of nowhere.
I wasn't tied to anything, but I imagine the door is locked. I don't see any other reason as to why I'm not tied up.
Surely whoever brought me here doesn't want me to leave. Right?
Sighing to myself, I leaned back against the couch I was sitting on, staring up at the ceiling.
I know that Chaeyoung and the girls are currently trying their best to locate me, but I'm wondering if they'll be able to.
Am I still in Korea? If these girls are from Japan, did they take me back home?
I wouldn't know. God knows how long I've been asleep. Whatever was on that cloth was powerful.
As I was thinking to myself, the door to the room slowly opened. Peaking inside was the girl who had held the cloth to my face.
"Hi." The girl stepped inside, quietly closing the door behind her.
"Soyeon wanted me to come check to see if you were awake."
Soyeon. That must be the rude girl who did all the talking. I bet she's the leader.
"My name is Yuqi." Her voice was deep but it was soothing and kind of calming.
She awkwardly stood by the door for a moment before stepping forward.
"In a few minutes, Soyeon is going to come in here and tell you why you're here. She can seem aggressive and assertive, but I promise, she isn't."
Looking down, she mumbled under her breath, "None of us are."
I could only nod in response, kind of shocked that she was talking to me like a normal person. She wasn't trying to intimidate me or make me fearful of the situation.
What is going on?
"I'll get going." Yuqi turned to leave, quietly exiting the room.
Am I being held hostage or did I get roped into being part of another gang? Seriously, what is going on?
It wasn't but a couple of minutes before the door was opening again, Soyeon being the one to walk in this time.
"Hey." She greeted, casually pulling a chair up to sit in front of me.
"How are you feeling?" She looked over my features, and at that moment, she seemed like a normal girl. Maybe she is.
"My head kind of hurts." I admitted, hesitant to say too much. I don't want to get personal and close with these girls. They did kidnap me, after all.
She nodded, "Yeah, it'll hurt for a bit. I'll have Shuhua bring you some pain medicine later."
I nodded in response, staring back into her eyes.
They seemed cold but inviting. Like she was putting up a front but was genuinely nice underneath.
"Can I ask why I'm here?" I questioned in a soft tone, not really expecting a response back. But I got one.
"We were hired to bring you here." She stated that so calmly, like it was a normal thing to do.
Furrowing my brows together, I sat up straight. "Where's 'here' and who hired you?"
Leaning back in her chair, she continued to answer my questions. "'Here' is Okinawa, Japan. Your friend hired us."
Friend? What friend?
I tried to think of who it could be, and then it hit me. My eyes widened, "Pinky?"
Soyeon nodded, "Yeah, that's her name. You're not concerned with the fact that you're not in Korea anymore?"
She sounded confused that I completely brushed past the whole bit about Okinawa.
"Why would Pinky hire you to bring me here? She could have just asked me to visit her."
The blonde shrugged, standing up from her chair. "Look, doll, I don't know. She said something about protecting you from some girl."
Placing the chair back where it was initially, the blonde continued, "We'll be taking you to her tonight, so you might want to rest up. Breakfast is around eight in the morning, which is only a couple hours away."
Soyeon walked towards the door, her hand resting on the doorknob as she peered back at me.
I was still shocked, my eyes stuck to the wall in front of me as I tried to possibly rationalize why Pinky would have hired a gang to bring me to her. What was the point? To scare me? And protect me from who? Chaeyoung?
"You can ask her all the questions you want tonight. She didn't give us a reason, just a mission. I'm sure your friend had good intentions, you both seem like lovely girls."
Looking over at the blonde, she gave me a soft and gentle smile before turning to leave.
"Soyeon?" I called out for her, stopping her from leaving. She hummed as she turned around, waiting for my response.
Biting my lip, I requested an answer for something I'd been wondering since she told me our location.
"Am I stuck here? In Japan?"
Her eyes softened before shifting back to their blank tone. "I'm afraid so, doll."
With that, the blonde finally exited the room, closing the door gently behind her.
