Dahyun followed me like a lost puppy while we entered an abandoned building I had discovered a few days ago.

It's on the outskirts of the town so I feel like it's just that little bit more private.

"Chae, won't we get caught?" "Not if you keep quiet." I chuckled, earning a pout from the brunette.

"Come on, I want to show you something." Taking hold of her hand, I led her to the rooftop where she could see quite a bit of the city. That's what I love most about this place.

Her mouth fell slightly open as she admired the view, but my eyes were glued to her.

The way her pale skin glowed in the moonlight, the way her hair seemed to float with the soft breeze of the wind, it all just made her look that much more ethereal.

"This is beautiful." Dahyun confessed as she turned back to look at me, a blush falling over her cheeks once our eyes met.

I nodded, smiling softly, "I was hoping you'd like it."

"I love it." She admitted, turning back around to admire the city once more.

I slowly advanced towards her, my heart pounding in my chest. Calm down, Chae.

Taking my stance beside Dahyun, I admired the city below us. It really is beautiful this time of night.

As we stood side by side, our hands grazed one another.

My breath hitched in my throat as I looked down at our hands before looking up to meet her gaze.

Dahyun stared back at me, the moon shining perfectly in her big doe eyes. God, why is she so beautiful?

"Chae?" Dahyun questioned softly, barely above a whisper. "Yes?"

She opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted as her phone began to ring.

Dahyun sighed softly as she dug her phone out of her bag, her face going pale afterward.

Looking down, I realized her mother was calling her.

Dahyun bit her lip as she contemplated answering.

"I'm so fucked." She mumbled, declining the call before shoving the device back into her bag.

"Aren't you going to answer that?" Shaking her head, she smiled softly as she spoke, "I'm with you. They can wait."

Don't freak out, Chae, stay calm.

Fuck this.

Without a second thought, I placed both my hands on Dahyun's cheeks, pulling her forward as I pressed my lips to hers.

She let out a surprised squeal upon impact but surprised me by kissing back.

We stayed like that, my hands on her cheeks, her hands on my shoulders, our lips molding perfectly together, for god knows how long.

We finally broke apart for air, breathing heavily as we stared back at each other.

Dahyun's eyes were filled with confusion yet excitement.

I instantly felt guilt for forcing myself upon her.

"I am so fucking sorry, I-"

"Chae." Dahyun stopped me, taking my hands in hers. "Shut up and kiss me again."

I smiled, taking a step closer to her as I rested one hand on her cheek while the other fell on her waist.

Leaning forward, I captured her lips in another soft and passionate kiss.

Dahyun leaned into my touch, both of her hands resting on my waist.

It was almost as if time had stopped and it were just the two of us.

Nothing else mattered. Not Dahyun's parents, not deciding if I wanted to be a member of ONCE, nothing.

It was just Dahyun and I.

We could hear the vibrations of her phone going off in her bag, but we didn't care.

Breaking apart, Dahyun rested her forehead against mine as she confessed, "I think I really like you, Chaeyoung."

"I think I really like you, too, Dahyun." I smiled, moving back so that we could look into each other's eyes.

Hers softened as she questioned in a soft tone, "What does this mean?"

What does this mean? I can't be with her, I'm not good for her.

The silence was finally broken as her phone, once again, began to vibrate like crazy, signaling a call.

Dahyun groaned as she pulled the device out, noticing how it was now Pinky who was calling her. "Great, my parents called hers."

Biting my lip, I snatched her phone from her, answering it before she could protest. "Hello?"

"Chaeyoung?" Pinky sounded confused, but that confusion was soon replaced with anger.

"What are you doing with Dahyun? Her parents are scared and wondering where she is."

"She's fine, Pinky." The girl scoffed, "Clearly she's not if she's with you."

Dahyun took the phone from my hand, able to hear her friend on the other line.

Dahyun looked furious at the words Pinky had spoken. "Pink, what the hell is wrong with you? I'm fine. I'm perfectly fine."

"You call being with a gang member fine?!" Pinky screamed, Dahyun having to pull the phone away from her ear.

"What happened to wanting the best for me? I'm safe, and that's what you want most, so why isn't that enough?"

Silence fell on both ends of the line as I watched the duo argue. Am I ruining their friendship?

Dahyun groaned, furrowing her brows together out of anger.

"Pink, I'm going to give you one chance. Either you can be happy that I'm safe and fine and actually having a great time for once or-"

"Or what? Hm? What will you do, Dahyun?"

The brunette bit her lip as she responded, "Or I'm cutting you off and you'll never speak to me again."

What? No, she can't cut her only friend off. That's insane.

I started to interfere, but Dahyun just pointed a stern finger at me, mouthing the word 'please.'

Sighing, I nodded as I stepped back.

I heard Pinky let out a loud sigh, almost groan, before she spoke, "You're lucky I love you so damn much, Dahyun."

With that, she hung up the phone.
