Nayeon, Sana, Tzuyu, Momo, and I all landed in Japan, the rest of the girls deciding to stay back in case something happened or they were needed for anything else.
As we exited the plane, a girl with dark hair approached us, Nayeon being the first to greet the girl.
"Ryujin, thank you for meeting us here." The lady named Ryujin smiled weakly in response, "I wish it were under different circumstances."
She glanced between all of us before her eyes landed on me. "You must be Chaeyoung."
I nodded, wondering if I should be concerned for my safety. I don't like it when people know who I am but I don't know them. Especially gang members.
But as she approached me, she only pulled me into a hug. "I'm really sorry you and your girlfriend are in this situation."
I thanked her before she pulled away, her attention on Nayeon once more. "The Villains and Dahyun were heading towards an undisclosed location about thirty minutes ago. My girls are tracking them right now."
The leader only nodded, waving all of us after her as her and Ryujin began walking.
Ryujin's phone began to ring, her quickly answering, "Hello? Are you sure? Okay, thank you, Lia."
She hung up the phone, her tone sounding concerned as she informed us that The Villains just pulled up to a house with Dahyun.
"But something seems off." She stated, earning all of our attention. "Lia said that Dahyun looks like she's going along with them. She doesn't seem scared or weary."
What? How could she not be scared? They kidnapped her.
"I'm sure there's an explanation. Do you have an address?" Sana reassured, smiling gently at me to try and ease my nerves.
Ryujin nodded as we all filed into an SUV.
Ryujin's phone rang once more, causing panic to course through my veins. Why are they calling her again? Did something happen?
Ryujin remained silent until hanging up, only causing the panic to boil inside of me.
As she ended the call, she looked back at me through the rearview mirror and questioned, "Do you know a girl named Pinky?"
"That's Dahyun's best friend."
Sana leaned forward, her tone full of curiosity as she questioned, "Does Pinky have something to do with this?"
Ryujin nodded, glancing toward me. "I would assume so since she just invited the group into her home."
-
Pulling up to this gigantic house, I couldn't help but feel uneasy about the fact that this was Pinky's place. Or, at least, that Pinky is here.
What does this mean? Is she involved somehow? Was Sana right?
Everything was quiet as we watched the house, waiting for any sign that something was going down.
Out of nowhere, my phone began to ring.
Looking down, I noticed that it was a blocked number.
"Answer it." Nayeon instructed, giving me a stern look.
Gulping, I did as told, holding the object up to my ear. "Hello?"
"Chae?" Dahyun spoke on the other end, sounding relieved that I answered.
"Dahyun? Oh my god, is that you?"
All of the girls turned towards me so quickly, their faces showing relief but confusion.
"Yes, it's me." She giggled, making my heart flutter. I thought I'd never get to hear her laugh again.
I could hear shuffling before another voice sounded on the other end of the line.
"Are you going to come get your girl? We can take her back but we have business to do."
I furrowed my brows together at the girl on the other end, "Well we...we're here. Who is this?"
"You're outside? Great! We'll be right out." And with that, the line went dead.
Everyone stared at me before we all quickly looked at the front doors to the house.
It wasn't but a minute or so later that a group of girls was walking outside, Dahyun right in the center.
I jumped out of the car, not listening to the girls screaming at me to wait, and immediately ran to Dahyun.
Once her eyes landed on me, she pushed past the group and began to run toward me.
As we neared, she jumped into my arms, burying her head into my neck as I spun her around.
We stayed like that until the group approached us, all of them having smiles on their faces.
"Chae, this is The Villains." Dahyun introduced the group, speaking as though they were close friends of hers and not a vicious gang.
I bowed gently, hearing my girls approach us with caution.
One girl's eyes met Nayeon's, a fire lighting inside of them. "Nayeon."
The leader blushed, bowing softly, "Soyeon."
We all looked at each other, wondering what the chemistry between the two was. But we decided to brush it off and ask later, not wanting to cause any unwanted tension between anyone.
"Where's Pinky?" Tzuyu questioned, all of us looking at The Villains for an answer.
"Oh, she's dead." One girl responded, not sounding at all phased by her response.
I slowly turned to look towards Dahyun who just sighed, "Pinky was behind all of this."
Sana scoffed. "I knew it. That bitch."
We all gave Sana a look of 'really', wondering if she had any condolences for Dahyun, seeing as Pinky was her best friend.
But I guess not as she only shrugged.
"It wasn't just Pinky."
Someone spoke from afar, earning everyone's attention.
As we turned, we noticed two things.
The first was that Ryujin was no longer standing with us, but with a group of four other girls.
The second was that one of the girls looked oddly familiar. She almost looked like the other girl in the photos with Pinky and Dahyun that were strung all over Dahyun's bedroom.
Dahyun stepped closer, her voice sounding broken as she called out, "Yuna?"
