Six days later, Valerie walked through the halls, following the children out of the rainbow room. Valerie stood in the training room, as Papa explained the task for the children. Henry stood with his smug expression that he always held.
Valerie yawned as she watched the children use their powers to do stuff with their mind. She was bored, very bored.
"Very good, Two. Very good," said Papa, handing him a candy, "Now, which brave soul would like to follow that?" Holding another candy.
The younger children held their hands up, practically jumping, "Me. Me. Me. Me. Me. Me." They said, like puppies.
"Eleven."
Henry and Valerie both step forwards, shooting the other a glance, she gave him a non-vebal signal. Henry knelt next to Eleven, placed an electromagnetic net on her head, "Remember to stay focused. Find the energy. Feel it."
Valerie zoned out, staring at the mirror opposite of her. Envisioning herself in that chair.
"Okay, that's it for today." Papa's voice brought her back to reality.
She rubbed her eyes, her vision fogged, "Hey, are you, okay?" Peter said.
"Shit! Jesus!"
"Oh, nope. Just me."
"Yeah. Peter, I'm fine. How long was I standing there?"
"About, I want to say- twenty minutes. I tried shaking you, but you didn't seem to react."
"I'm just tired, that's all." Valerie lied, shaking her head.
"Were you sleeping? With your eyes open?" Henry laughed.
"I guess, when you're really tired you can practically fall asleep anywhere."
"It's lunch, come on." Henry turned, his eyes lingered on her, "Are you going to come?"
"Yeah." Valerie exited the room, the pair caught up to the children.
Entering the cafeteria, Valerie took a seat at a table away from the children, "You aren't eating?" Henry asked, taking a seat with a tray of food.
"I'm not hungry."
"You have to at least eat something. I'll get you something." He stood and walked off.
Valerie's fixated gaze would've scared anyone, anyone but Henry. He wasn't scared of anything. The snapping of someone's fingers, "Hello? Freddy, are you alright?"
Valerie blinked, "Yeah, I'm fine, Peter."
"What's wrong with you?" Henry held a cookie out. She gave him a quick smile, taking the cookie from him.
"There's nothing wrong with me. I'm just afraid. Afraid if our plan isn't going to work." Valerie dug her teeth into the cookie.
"It will work."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive," replied Henry, in a whisper tone, "Don't be afraid. Even though fear is natural, don't let it control you."
"Everyone's afraid of something."
"I know. Don't let it control you, that's showing weakness and we don't show weakness." Henry knit his hands together, "Okay?"
"Okay," muttered Valerie, leaning back in her chair.
We just have to pray that our plan works. She thought.

-Quick A/N-
Short chapter, I know, I was thinking there shouldn't just be all long chapters, there should be some short ones intertwined with the long ones. :)
