Valerie awoke later than usual, instead of at 6:30, she awoke at 8, "Shit!" She exclaimed as she jumped out of her bed, sliding into her shoes and throwing on her white pants and white button up shirt. Grabbing her belt and gloves on her way out. She spirited down the hall, trying to tie her belt while running.
Not paying attention to her foot placement, she fell forwards, she let a scream out. Valerie groaned, looking up, seeing a familiar face, staring down at her. She let a chuckle escape her mouth. Henry was gazing down at her.
"Well, well, well, look who finally decided to join us." He said with a smirk, then he offered her a hand
"Oh, come on, cut me some slack, I was on patrol last night." Valerie replied, taking his hand and getting to her feet.
She finished tying her belt then slipped her gloves on, her gloves were made of a black leather.
"You look like a mess, Freddy," said Henry looking in the direction of a camera.
Valerie noticed the camera. Giving him a non-verbal signal to inform him she got his message, "Thanks, Peter," whispered Valerie.
Henry was holding her card, she took it from him and they walked down the hall. While they walked, Valerie fixed her hair, brushing it back with her hands neatly. She hoped Papa wouldn't notice, but he always noticed.
The pair entered the training room, standing parallel to one another, Papa was addressing the children. Papa turned to Valerie, signaling her to step forwards. Valerie gulped. Not knowing what would happen.
"As you can see, she came in late, meaning she probably woke up late. I didn't hear her enter the room. The only reason I knew she was late was because of Peter." Papa addressed, "She is as silent as a ghost, I didn't even know she was gone. And for that I say good job."
He turned back to the children. Valerie wiped the sweat from her forehead, turning to Henry, mouthing, thank god.

After training was over, which was around three in the afternoon. Valerie found Henry standing near an overhang ledge, "You're not going to jump, are you?" She laughed.
"No," he stated, turning to her and returning the laugh, "But sometimes, I do wonder, could we fly? Or would we fall?"
Valerie stared at him, "We would fall because of... gravity-" glancing behind her for a camera, nothing, no cameras anywhere in this sector, "Henry."
"I found a new place, a safer place where we could meet, no cameras, nothing. Do you know the door next to the stairs? Next to the meeting area?" Valerie nodded, "That door leads to a boiler room and there are no cameras in the boiler room. Zero. None at all. While some may call that a mistake, I call it brilliance. Now we can't be seen if we go into the boiler room."
"Is it somewhere, where no one will find us?"
Henry nodded, "And the best part about it, the camera outside, no ones ever really watching it. So no, no one will find us."
A smile formed on Valerie's face, she knew that her friend was a genius, "Okay, when do you want to meet?"
"The usual time, 7:30 at night. I won't- I'll try not to grab you from behind and pull you somewhere."
Valerie's laugh filled the air, "I love it when you lie."
"I'm not lying. Besides, it is somewhere safe. No one will find us, I promise." Henry said, giving her a look of confidence.
