Chapter 76| Past Trauma

Wang Lei came back from the courtroom and entered his office chamber. He sat down on the chair when there was a knock. Feng Zhi joined inside as he bowed down and greeted Wang Lei. Wang Lei called him to come to his office once the court hearing was over hence he was here.

'Did you call for me your Majesty?'Feng Zhi said as he started off the conversation while Wang Lei nodded his head as he spoke up.

'Yes, I have a task for you.' Wang Lei said

'Yes, your highness. What do you want me to do?' Feng Zhi said respectfully

'You have to find two people for me.' Wang said 

'Who do you want me to find?' Feng Zhi asked 

'Find those two police officers who were supposed to kill Ru Qin and his lovers seven years ago?' Wang Lei said and Feng Zhi's eyes widen. He was the one who knew how much damage Lin Han has done to Wang Lei with his betrayal. That's why he was shocked over his order. 

'What? Are you sure, Wang Lei?' Feng Zhi asked surprised taking his name as if he was his friend at this moment instead of a Emperor. He was not understanding why suddenly Wang Lei wanted to find them. Why does he want to open back the chapter of Ru Qin ? 

'Yes, they took bribes. They need to get punishment.' Wang Lei simply explained still not telling him the whole thing regarding his meeting with Lin Han. 

'Bribes for what?' Feng Zhi asked puzzled and confused. 

'You don't need to know.' Wang Lei simply replied as he opened the document in front of him. 

'Don't tell me they took bribe to let go of them alive, Wang Lei.' Feng Zhi asked and Wang Lei looked at him but said nothing as in confirming what he was saying was right. 

'What? Are you joking? That mother f*ck** is alive?' Feng Zhi screamed asked shocked as anger boiled inside him. 

'Just calm down Feng Zhi.' Wang Lei said as he tried to calm him down. He understood how much Feng Zhi cares for him and he was grateful for it. It was Feng Zhi who was with him when Ru Qin betrayed him. He had always supported him and took care of him in his hard time. 

'How I can? Have you met him?' Feng Zhi asked as his brain was about to explode upon realising Ru Qin was still alive. He was grateful knowing that he was living his life after causing Wang Lei so much pain. 

'Yes, on moon festival.' Wang Lei replied 

'And?'

'I let go of him and ask him never to return.' Wang Lei explained knowing Feng Zhi will not like his answer. 

'What? Why would you do that? You should have killed him.' Feng Zhi said as he screamed getting frustrated and angry with Wang Lei. 

'But I don't want to...I never wanted to. I always regret my decision regarding him so I was happy to see him.' Wang Lei explained as he let his emotions out. 

'What?' Don't tell me you still have feelings for him.' Feng Zhi screamed asked and Wang Lei looked up at him 

'What? No...i have no feeling towards him...And I don't say this aloud. If Huang Dewei listens to you, I will be in deep trouble.' Wang Lei quickly whispers to calm him down as he looked around. He was fearful this will increase Huang Dewei's doubt. Wang Lei thought as he wonder where he was. After the court meeting, he was supposed to come to his office here too, but Huang Dewei was still not here. Maybe he went to get all files and documents regarding the palace to do his new task of corruption.
