Huang Dewei breathed in and out as he looked at the building in front of him. That was his destination. It was an information centre. He was wearing ordinary clothes with a mark given by Wang Lei. With one last look at the people walking on the road, he walked towards the door and entered inside.
He walked towards a man sitting on the chair as soon he entered. The ordinary-looking man with black bread, short height and a big belly looked up towards him. Huang Dewei was worried that the man might ask about the mask but as soon he saw him, he quickly stood up.
'Welcome, your Majesty has chosen a new man at last.' That man said as he pleasantly and wholeheartedly greeted Huang Dewei. Huang Dewei was surprised by his overwhelming welcome as he just nodded his head. The mask given by Wang Lei was probably a clue for the man to recognise him that Wang Lei had sent him. No wonder he especially gave him the mask to wear instead of asking him to buy one from the market. Wang Lei probably had some arrangement with this man. There was something definitely huge going on about which only Wang Lei knew about it.
'I am not allowed to know your identity, however, I hope you are loyal to your Majesty and will perform your duty with sincerity.' That man said as he advised him and Huang Dewei speechless just nodded his head.
'You can go inside and complete your mission.' The man said as he gave him permission on which Huang Dewei nodded his head and walked further inside. The information centre was huge and full of ranks of books. Any type of book anyway needed would be available here. It was accessible to the public to borrow books and then return it back after reading them.
The place was quiet and peaceful. There was no sitting place but there were a few other people looking around the books. All of them seem from rich and middle-class families. Most of the poor people were uneducated so why they would come to borrow a book?
Huang Dewei sighed and started looking at the book he needed from all the book ranks. The books were arranged in alphabetical order so he straight went to the section he needed to be. He needed the book called 'Tale of Northern Vallery' so he went to the T section. He started looking and after a few minutes of looking, he found the book he was looking for. He took out the book and there was a sealed letter inside which Huang Dewei carefully took out.
Without a second thought, he put the letter safely inside his robe's pocket and put the book back on the rank. His half work was done and a half was left which was safely giving the letter to Wang Lei which would be easy. Huang Dewei thought as he put the book away in its place and started walking. He passed through the books rank to walk towards the main door when he stopped. His gaze fell on a book called 'Forbidden Romance.' Huang Dewei took out the book and stared at it. That was Xin Ying's favourite book which she used to love dearly.
It was a story of the romance between upper-class and lower-class individuals who fought against all odds to become one but in the end, they both died at the hands of their families when they tried to run together. Xin Ying used to say it seem like their love story but they would make sure to have a happy ending.
Huang Dewei remembered as he took out the book, leaned back on the wall and looked at it. Huang Dewei was not a book lover nor wanted to waste his time reading some fiction. As he thought about reading books, someone else came into his mind. Someone who was reading standing near the window....someone who seem to enjoy reading these fiction books. Huang Dewei suddenly wonders what kind of books he likes to read...he imagines his lips whispering to words as he reads them...his eyes moving as he reads the lines. He wonders how his imagination works as he reads the books...His thoughts were filled with him again and he frustrated sighed. What was really wrong with him? Huang Dewei cursed himself as he shook away his thoughts. Because his thoughts were getting polluted...He was thinking...wanting...and desiring for someone he can never have.
