A young boy stepped onto the edge of the tall building's rooftop. The wind blew at his hair as he stared down at the roof of the neighbouring building. His glasses reflected the light from the moon, but no light could reach into his dull blue eyes.

His hand went to his ear. A static sound came before a sound of acknowledgement arrived.

"Two snipers on the lower roof in the west," said the boy, blank eyes staring at two men dressed in black, laying on the rooftop below him. "No guards or knowledge. They're easy to rid off."

"Then I leave it to you to show them a blood moon," answered a voice, giving out a sinister grin.

"The crows will only see the red of night," commented the boy back, dropping his hand down to grab something from inside his dark jacket.

Two loud shoots echoed through the night in the next second. The boy lowered his hands, smoke coming from the object in hand. He turned around, placing it back into his jacket as he went to leave the rooftop, giving no second glance at the now limp bodies on the other roof.

Sirens blared from the ground below them. Chaos spread out in every direction as all the police officers roared out. Half bolted towards the buildings, the other half staying around the building from the first major focus.

A roaring explosion blasted out from the top. Glass shards rained down over the people on the ground.

Detectives and inspectors screamed out orders, and light went in every direction. All trying to light up what they could not see. Flames danced out from the building from all the shattered windows and walls. Thick black smoke rose, joining the dark clouds over them that night.

The young boy walked out from the entrance doors of the building he was at. The blaring sirens, screams, and yelling didn't catch his attention at all. He just walked towards the road, where a black sports car stood waiting.

He entered the passenger seat, and the car drove off immediately.

"Two more feathers plucked out into the red lake," commented the teenage boy in the driver's seat.

"The more feathers they lose, the less likely they can fly," agreed the boy, staring out the window in boredom as they quickly passed the crowd of terrified people.

"This gem is useless as well," informed the boy as he held a small pink jewel up towards the moon as he drove. With the click of a tongue, he threw it into the back seat and glared at the road in front of them. "What now, Tantei-kun?" he asked, side glancing at the boy next to him.

"What do you think?" scoffed the boy as an answer, barely glancing back at him. "We find the next target and take more down. What else is there to do, KID?"

The teenager known as KID gave out a small hum before a dark grin spread across his face. "I was hoping we could find someone wanting that gem." The flashing lights from the poles they passed washed over him, less than a second for each light. The other boy turned his sight to look out the window again. "Come on, Tantei-kun," grinned KID, dark excitement growing in him. "Either get some money for our tasks, or get a new target to eye."

"Do whatever you want to," just answered the boy back in a bored tone, staring out at the night covered city they passed. "You're capable of doing it alone."

"That'd just be boring~," pouted KID before drifting to take a sharp turn off the road and into an alley. "You're always the one to find the most interesting people to play with~"

The boy eyed the other to see him give out a smirk as he stared out while driving. He had noticed how bored the teenage had been lately, so he gave out a sigh and shook his head. "Fine," he said, making the teenage give out a wide, excited grin. "But get rid of those first."
