Summary:

When Shinichi was given that drug, he expected to die. What he didn't expect was to shrink into a seven-year-old, nor did he expect to have to change so much about himself, even if shrunk. Because he, or rather now she, was now a seven-year-old girl.

****************

Shinichi laid numb in the darkness. The burning pain had vanished, but he felt weak. Was this how it felt to die? Was his dying phase over? A sharp light shone through his closed eyelids, and he heard the yells of men closing in. "Over there! I see a body!" the voice of a man yelled out, the light source now stronger than before. So he was dead, huh? Shinichi didn't know how to react. He should've known better than to follow that man in black. He knew he had a partner, yet he let his guard down, too focused on taking pictures of that illegal transaction. "-breathing!" came a yell, and Shinichi fell out of his thoughts. He felt something grab his shoulder, shaking him lightly. He was alive? "-ou-san! Wake up!"

Clenching his eyes weakly, he slowly gathered his strength to open his eyes. He had to squint for a bit, the light from the man's torch too bright for him. "H-huh..." he muttered out, slowly opening his eyes more as he adjusted to the light.

"Thank goodness!" the man smiled down at him. Shinichi looked up, but his eyes widened. He looked huge and tall from where he was kneeling in front of him. What was going on?! "You got a nasty bump there. What happened,-" What happened was that he was attacked when witnessing a-. "-Ojou-san?"

Shinichi was silent as he stared. What did he just say? Little girl?! He was a high school student! How could he call him a little girl?! He was a boy, and he was seventeen! What the heck was wrong with them?!

But as he was too busy with his inner turmoil, he wasn't able to catch the what the police officer had said. He only snapped out of his thoughts as he saw him take out his walkie-talkie. "We have an injured child here. A young girl, around the age of an elementary student."

What?! Shinichi shook his head harshly, but hissed at the burning pain in the back of his head. He raised a hand to hold his head, but it was then he noticed his clothes. The clothes he had on were far too big for him. The arm of his green jacket slumped down, swinging down with nothing to support it. That was also when he saw long, dark brown hair swing down and over his shoulder. He did not have that long hair. He'd somehow had his hair grow. Was that why the police officer thought he was a girl?

"Come on, now," the police officer spoke out, and Shinichi remained still, but lifted his head to watch the man as he lifted him up. He continued to stare with wide eyes as the man held him up from under his arms. "Let's get you to the office. I'm sure we can get in contact with your parents. They're probably worried about you!"

He placed him down, then turned to look over at the second officer, who'd stood in the back with his walkie-talkie. Shinichi stared at them, but came to realise that he had to get away. Something was extremely wrong, and he needed to find out what. So while none of the officers watched him, he lifted his far too big clothes up from his feet, then bolted.

***************

As Shinichi ran, it had started to pour down. Multiple puddles grew on the street, but he gave them no mind as he ran as fast as he could. But with his loose and wet clothes being in the way, he ended up tripping. A groan left him as he crashed down, and he lifted himself up with his arms. He panted heavily as he stood there, but his eyes went to the side, seeing his long, wet hair. It hung there, dangling down from the weight of the water dripping down it. It didn't touch the ground, as he was on his hands and knees, but it wasn't far from touching it. Meaning his hair would reach just before his waist when standing.
