Alias Twins Summary;

In a different universe, Kudou Shinichi and Kuroba Kaito were born as twins in the Kudou family, but Kaito was handed to be taken care of by the Kuroba family, close friends of the Kudous.

The two brothers know of each other and know each other well.

So what if on the day Shinichi shrank, Kaito was on his way to visit his brother, but find him as a child again?

A phone kept ringing inside the Kudou Mansion. A 17-year-old boy groaned as he made his way out of the mansion's library door to head over to his phone, which he had placed on the counter in the hallway.

The boy combed a hand through his slightly messy, but normally neat, hair and used his other hand to grab the phone. Flipping the phone open, he looked at the name of the caller.

Instantly recognizing the caller, he glared at the screen, but answered.

"Moshi, moshi?"

"Shin-chan!" came a thundering, loud cheer.

Even with the annoyingly loud greeting, the boy seemed unfazed. His ear hurt, sure, but not like he wasn't used to it. Especially when one has a twin as he had, alongside working on crime scenes and chasing murderer, thieves and all kinds of people every day.

"Kaito..." he groaned, moving his other hand down from his hair to massage his temple. "What do you want? I'm busy."

"Naw, come on, Shin-chan," whined Kaito from the other side. The tone was almost childish, like usual, but he could see, no, feel the grin the other boy was giving out. They didn't have to be in the same room, or even in the same city, to know the other's expressions. "A little birdie told me you were going out on a date tomorrow!"

"What?" His hand dropped from his face. He looked utterly confused, blinking as he tried to remember or find out where this came from.

Kaito gave out a loud, amused laugh, in which the other felt his eyebrow twitch in annoyance at his older twin brother. "Your expression is golden, Otouto! You're still as oblivious to some things as expected, 'Meitantei-kun'."

"Urusai."

Snickering came as an answer, but soon died down as the other gave a bright grin targeted at the other, even if only in their minds. "I can't believe the great Kudo Shinichi, The Great Detective of the East, is finally going out on a date!"

"Will you shut up already?" scoffed Shinichi, shaking his head as he made his way back to the library. He still had paperwork to finish after having solved yet another two cases that evening. "Look, I got important paperwork to finish, and I really want to finish them before mid-night."

A mix of a sigh and a scoff came from the other side, but Shinichi ignored it to grab his pen again as he sat down at the desk. "Even more cases? You really are a trouble magnet, Shin-chan. You better get your rest for tomorrow."

"Like you have the right to call me a trouble magnet, Kaito," Shinichi returned, glaring down at his desk, but knew Kaito could clearly see the glare. "You're the true trouble magnet, who even seeks the so-called trouble with your magic pranks."
