So, after publishing a one shot about Conan basically being a Disney Princess, I felt like I needed to write something like this as well. But with the ideas popping into my head, I doubt I'd be able to make it a one shot as well, so this one ends up here.

If you haven't checked out my 'Disney Princess! Conan' story called 'A Detective's True Loyal Army', then I would love for you to check it out. That one shot was incredibly fun to write!

Hope you enjoy!

Summary:

Shinichi always followed Sherlock Holmes' words; "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." And those words were always there for him. Even during times he didn't want them to.

There had been many times he wished the truth wasn't as it was, but as a detective, he knew better than that.

He thought his reality had been picked apart enough when he shrunk because of a drug from a dangerous criminal organisation, but he was proven wrong yet again...

And the only thing he could do was to accept the truth the world was giving him.

**************

Haibara had called for Conan to come over to Agasa's as the girl had finally gotten her hands on more proper equipment for her science work and investigation about APTX 4869. She had wanted a check-up to write more information about their conditions, and Conan knew how dreadful they could be‌. The times before were tiring enough, especially after the case where he got shot, but became his true persona for a day right after recovering.

Conan gave the door a knock, but stepped inside right after. He was one of few allowed to just step into the household without waiting for an answer, and the residents knew of his visiting either way. "I'm here, Haibara," called Conan, closing the door after him and taking off his shoes to step in. "Make this as quick as possible, if you could. Ran wanted to drag Otchan and me out for something later."

"I can't promise anything, Kudo-kun," answered Haibara as she stepped out from the basement door to meet him. "But if you step it up, maybe it can happen," she said, sliding the door open more as she turned to walk back down.

A sigh left Conan, but he strode over. He carefully closed the door after him and walked down the stairs to the scientist's mini lab. Instantly, he could see a few new machines and wirings around, but he just gave out a nod, trusting that Haibara knew what she was doing.

"We'll start with a blood tests first," informed Haibara, her focus on typing into her computer before moving over to different machines. "I'll be able to read more out of them now than before."

"Right," said Conan, jumping up to sit down on the bench to the side.

The boy sat there to the side, just watching and observing as the girl did her work. Her taking some of his blood was quick and basically painless with everything he had experienced before, and it was silent as she placed his blood into different equipment.

Some processing took a while to complete, so Conan leaned into the wall, a bored look on his as he was on his phone. The two never really talked much during these times. Haibara rather wanted to have a full focus on the important stuff, making sure nothing was wrong.

Ran had been sending Conan a few texts, telling him how excited she was to go out later today with the family and him. That was when he learned Ran had made another plan to get Eri to meet up with them again. She had plans for all of them to go to a restaurant, then go shopping. Conan had sweat-dropped at that. 'How would she drag Otchan along with that?' wondered Conan with a huff. 'I would like to know if force was used or not, please.'
