The moment the note was published, Conan was conflicted. Though, the tip of his tail swayed from one side to the other in interest, an ear twitching at times as he stared at the TV screen. He was alone down in the office, and from his boredom, he had turned on the TV, which showed the news, the main topic being KID's new heist note.

If he went, it was a high likelihood that he would get caught on camera, and who knew how KID himself would react. Conan didn't know if the thief knew about his new predicament, but he doubted it. But he really wanted to test his new senses and skills against that magician thief, and Agasa's ear plugs would be tested as well with the fan crowd screaming around the location.

"Maybe I can sneak past the crowd and reporters and run straight in..." muttered Conan to himself, already having decided that he wanted a go. He just needed to make sure he wouldn't be caught by a reporter or a fan's camera.

A pling came from his phone, but before he got to check it, his ears twitched when hearing Ran call to him from the other side of the door. "Conan-kun?"

"I'm in here, Ran-neechan," called Conan back, turning around on the couch to face the door.

"Ah, Conan-kun," greeted Ran with a smile as she stepped in. When she closed the door after her, her eyes went to the TV now displaying a picture of the heist note. "No," she said, turning to Conan with a stern look, making the boy blink in confusion. "You are not going, Conan-kun."

"Eh, but Ran-neechan!" whined Conan, his ears and tail falling down slightly in disappointment. "I wanna test my new skills on him!"

"No is a no, Conan-kun. It's too risky," said Ran, stepping over to grab the remote. She turned the TV off, then turned back to the boy, who was pouting at her. "All the heists are broadcasted to everyone in Japan. And you're known as the KID Killer. If you're noticed, they will try to get to you, and everyone in Japan will know."

"But I can sneak past them!" complained Conan, ears spiking up and towards her. "As long as the crowd isn't everywhere inside the building, I can get in without being noticed by outsiders!"

"No, Conan-kun," said Ran, firmly at him, and his features dropped again.

Another pling came from his phone, and he looked down to fetch his phone. While still pouting in disappointment, he opened his phone, but blinked at the messages. The boy glanced up at Ran briefly, before flicking it between her and the phone.

Ran raised an eyebrow in suspicion, and she grabbed his phone to look at it, Conan whining out at her. Her eyebrow went from being raised to starting to twitch. "I thought Sonoko and I told that man about this..." she grumbled, but read the second message as well and a sigh left her.

She handed the phone back to the boy trying to grab his phone back, and she shook her head. Conan took notice of it, and his ears and tail perked up. "So can I now?"

"Fine," sighed Ran, but gave him another stern look. "But I'm going with you all the way. So if you chase KID, I'm coming right behind you. Do you understand?"

"H-hai... Wakatta..." stuttered Conan, recoiling slightly in fear. He really should have expected that. But it would be a good thing if someone happened to be able to get footage of him. Ran would easily be able to threaten them and have them delete it before it got out anywhere.

"Good," smiled Ran with a firm nod, then took out her phone. "I'll be calling Sonoko now, call when Jirokichi-ojisan arrives."

Conan gave a staggering nod in response, and she smiled as she stepped out of the office. When the door closed, and he could hear her calling on her phone, he gave out a sigh of relief. She really was scary at times, and he was just glad it wasn't directed at him, as Conan or Shinichi.
