*Author's POV* 6 months later, Y/n went back to his hometown to visit his parents. His mother had fallen ill and he decided it would be best to help his father take care of her. If he was honest, he didn't want to come back home, too many memories replay in his head, and it's not even the good ones. He wanted to push all the bad things to the back of his head, when he left town it was nothing but an absolute dream for Y/n. He made many friends, got his dream job, and probably met a new love interest.

Everything was going well, he wasn't gonna let some bad memories ruin that. "Y/n, I need you to go to the store to get some more soup and tea, we're running low. Plus you need to go outside, have you talked with any of your friends since your return?" His father asked "I haven't told them I'm back yet, I just want mom to get better, that's all I'm worried about" Y/n said "It's okay Y/n, your mother is slowly getting better, and I don't need your help all the time, go have fun and go see your friends again, like when was the last time you talked with that Wonho kid? I'm sure you miss him" His father says

"He's busy playing husband at the moment so I won't bother him. Anyways, I'll be back" Y/n says and leaves the house and walks to the store. Once Y/n got to the store, he begins walking through the store and grabbing a bunch of soup and tea. As he's still searching through the store, he hears his name being called. He looks around and makes eye contact with his best friend. "Y/n!? What the hell are you doing back so quickly?" Y/n's friend asked and walked up to Y/n pulling him in his grasp.

Y/n hugs back and then pull away. "I was only gone for 6 months, my mother isn't doing so well at the moment so I decided to come back and help dad take care of her," Y/n says "How long have you been back?" He asks "I think it's been a week now," Y/n says causing his friend's eyes to widen and smack his shoulder, "Why haven't you contact anyone dummy!? Everyone missed you" His friend says and Y/n chuckles, "I was busy," Y/n says.

"Actually you came in just in time, I'm throwing a little party tomorrow night and you should definitely come, everyone would be so glad to see you," His friend says "I don't know, who's gonna be there?" Y/n asks "Everyone you know, just please come tomorrow" His friend begs "Fine, I'll be there," Y/n says as his friend cheers, "Great, I'll see you tomorrow," His friend says and leaves, and Y/n leaves minutes after and goes home.

*The Next Day*
Y/n gets ready for the party, he gets dressed and puts on light makeup, and then goes to the party. Once he got there, everyone was glad to see Y/n, he told everyone all the amazing things he did while he was gone and planned to go back next month in hopes his mother is well and healthy again. As everything was going well, everyone heard someone knocking on the door, someone went over to open the door and it was revealed to be Wonho.

But at the time Wonho came in, Y/n was too busy in the kitchen, drinking and talking. Then, Y/n decided to go to the balcony to get some fresh air. Minutes go by and he pulls out a cigarette, "I thought you stopped smoking" Y/n heard, he turns to see Wonho. "I thought so too, it was getting overwhelming in there to be honest," Y/n says and lights the cigarette, "What are you doing back? I thought you weren't coming back" Wonho says "My mother is not feeling so well so I came back to help my father, I'll be leaving next month," Y/n says "I was told you didn't tell anyone you were back and you've been back for a week, why?" Wonho asked "Because no one needed to know. What's up with all your questions? Was there something you needed to speak with me about?" Y/n says

"There's a lot I want us to talk about, but I just wanted to see how you're doing, it's been 6 months you know," Wonho says, and Y/n chuckles. "I'm aware, so how is it being married? I was told things aren't going so well" Y/n says "They aren't, we're actually apart but our family doesn't know that, we don't know how to deliver the news to them," Wonho says "I mean that's understandable, how do you not piss your family off by telling them you two are splitting up after they spent thousands on your wedding and only been together for a couple of months, that's gonna be a tough conversation," Y/n says, Wonho chuckles, "So hows this new city? I was told  you were living your best life there," Wonho says and Y/n nods, "I have, I honestly think moving there was the best decision,"  Y/n says, "So you never thought about coming back?" Wonho says and Y/n shakes his head, "As much as I love being here for my friends and family, too much happened here so it would be best for me to move on, literally" Y/n says

"Have you ever thought about us getting back together?" Wonho asked "I can't deny, I have. But that was the first month I left this town. I realized there's no point in wishing when it's never gonna happen" Y/n says, Wonho tries to speak but Y/n stops him "And there's no point trying to fix this whole situation between us so don't bother trying Wonho" Y/n says "But we can try again, we can do better than last time" Wonho said "We? Last time I checked Wonho all the problems revolved around you. Like right now, how are you so convinced that we can get back together but you are technically still married and haven't told your family you separated yet?" Y/n asked but Wonho stays silent, "Exactly, this was a fun conversation. But I have to go" Y/n says and leaves Wonho alone on the balcony and goes home.
