Bio; Taeyong and Y/n are in a complicated relationship, and Y/n doesn't know what to do at this point.

*Author's POV* Y/n and Taeyong were in a friends-to-lovers kind of relationship. Everyone found their love story so romantic and straight out of a romance film. The two knew each other since grade school but as they got older things were different. Taeyoung was in a relationship while Y/n had feelings for Taeyoung and didn't know how to move on. Then Taeyong left the relationship, Y/n confessed, and the two started dating, their relationship was quickly exposed. Y/n was very well aware of the risks if he was exposed to the media for dating someone like Taeyong, he had no intention to give their relationship media attention but it just happened, and Y/n was only given one day to process the fact that he got with the man of his dreams.

Taeyong on the other hand, took it differently. He embraced the exposure and made sure everyone would be updated on the "hottest couple", it made Y/n feel like the relationship was nothing but fanservice and he was already over it. Y/n did everything and anything he could to tell Taeyong that their relationship needed privacy and he needed to stop feeding the media with nonsense. But his concerns and worries were brushed over like nothing, just thrown out the window. It was crushing and suffocating. Y/n did everything he could only to be ignored and told to get over it, or how he should've known what he would be dealing with dating someone like Taeyong.

Y/n's breaking point was when he attempted to have a sit down with Taeyong, to try and build a better understanding between the two, this is his boyfriend, not his friend anymore. But things went left when Y/n noticed their conversation was live the entire time, next thing you know, Y/n was hated on and slammed by the media and got painted to be the bad guy for trying to seal his relationship away.

Y/n locked himself in the guest bedroom, away from everyone, especially Taeyong of course. But Taeyong made it no better by continuously posting about the situation, when Y/n noticed, he was done. He storms out of the room and rushes over to the living room, seeing Taeyong on the phone, "What's the matter with you?" Taeyong asks, not bothering to look at Y/n. Quickly, Y/n rushed over and grabbed Taeyong's phone "Y/n what the hell-" "I'm leaving" Y/n interrupted "Wait what? Why?" Taeyong asked making Y/n scoff "What do you think!? You used our relationship as some way of fanservice, you treating me not only as a joke but some fucking tool, have you seen the damage you caused!?" Y/n yelled, Taeyong scoffs "I already told you this, there's a lot that goes on when it comes to dating an idol like me," Taeyong says "And my job is to be sure our relationship is to look perfect" Taeyong added "But I never wanted the perfect relationship for everyone else but us, I wanted something real, something to value, not some cookie cutter bullshit you see on the internet just for everyone to eat it up and look at it as something they want too," Y/n says

"Everyone knows every move we make, when we go out, eat, sleep, they know everything and it worries me how that doesn't scare you. You're risking your safety, mental, and emotional health for a show for people who don't know you, people who don't genuinely care about your well-being, how does that not worry you? That you feed into that almost everyday" Y/n says "Maybe that's why your ex left, you tried to give that bullshit exposure and got dumped on the spot" Y/n says "That's not true at all, it was a netural breakup, and all I'm hearing from you right now is how you didn't listen to me, I warned countless times the risks, the damages, what could happen once exposure were to happen, you have to let it keep going. You already knew the warnings and you didn't want to listen, you just wanted to date me so damn badly" Taeyong says "Yeah, maybe because this relationship wasn't gonna come with some fucking contract, I wanted to be with you for a long ass time, too long I can't explain it. Do you really think I cared about all the warnings you told me?" Y/n says and Taeyong stays quiet. "But most importantly, it's nice knowing you cared about the media more than your boyfriend, so much more you were willing to risk his safey, his mental and emotional sake" Y/n says and hands Taeyong back his phone and goes to pack all his things and left.

Of course, the breakup was announced quickly, but Y/n could care less, he's just happy to get out in time before things got worse.
