Patience P.O.V
(Patience's office and building)

It had already hit the evening time I sat at my desk with penelope on the other side in a chair going over with me some of the changes to the company.

We both sat in a comfortable silence while classical music played in the background.

But the silence was constantly being interrupted by shuffling and nervous fidgeting followed by the constant stares by penelope before her head would shoot back down into her work. At first, I just ignored it and continued working until I caught her, just as she was about to look up at me.

"Penelope, if there is something you need to tell me, please just say it," I replied, not looking up from my work but got a squeak in reply from her being caught red-handed.

Once I didn't get a reply, I placed my pen down and looked up at penelope's flustered face. I instantly arched a brow awaiting her response.

Only for her to say it was nothing and wave it off while pretending to write something down.

"Peneolpe, you didn't just sit here looking at me for over 20 minutes for it to just be nothing. What is it?" I asked again, little bit sterner.

"Well... a couple of us in the office were going out to celebrate the big success this month and.. I want to ask if you wanted to go. " She finished with a nervous smile as she played with the ring around her finger.

I thought about it for a moment. usually, after a big meeting like this, I would celebrate by sending myself on a three week vacation with just me and Celeste blowing money on clothes and pampering. But unfortunately for me, Celeste had picked up a big case right before the end of my meeting and going alone didn't exactly sound appealing.

I thought over the pros and cons of going which meant no massage in the Bahamas with some mimosas. But being able to connect with my staff could be beneficial to me and my company.

So I agreed making the biggest smile to come across penelope's face. Her chubby cheeks parted, sporting her smile. She excitedly rambled on about what to wear and where everything was being held.

I asked her to text me the details before she excused herself to head home for the day with a big smile still on her face.

After she left I got back to work doing some paper work letting the sound of the classical music carry out it's tunes into my mind and soothing my soul.

Slowly I found my eyes start to close and my writing became sluggish. I tired to keep my self going but the battle to keep my eyes open was alot harder than I thought. eventually I gave in lying my head down against my crossed arms.

I let out a low yawn as I could feel sleep burning at the back of my eye. My eyes blinked staring at one object in the room before focusing on another before my blinking slowed and eventually closed falling into the darkness of sleep.

The last thing I thought was that I'll just rest my eyes for a minute.

I could see flashing lights they were so bright It nearly blinded me. I went to cover my eyes to block the light but noticed a wet substance coating my hands.

I tried to make out what was on my hands but it was so dark it was hard for me to tell.

All of a sudden I was hit with a strong wave of anxiety and panic. Like I had to get away to get out, but I didn't know what I was escaping from.

Then in the darkness I saw a light and a voice calling out to me. so I crawled to that light and that voice my heart pumping full of hope.
