Chapter 33 - She's Mad!

I rubbed my temple while anxiously hoping for Vi to answer her phone . Halos minu-minuto kong dina-dial ang number niya pero hindi niya sinasagot ang mga tawag ko.

She's two hours late and the waiters assigned to serve us became restless, the foods getting cold and there's an awkward silence.

Kabaligtaran kanina when the rooftop of the restaurant that I reserved for us was buzzing with activities and excitement, na para sana sorpresa kay Vi.

They knew that my date is unnaturally late at tahimik lang sila na nakamasid sa akin, tensely walking back and forth as I tried to contact Vi, a look of pity on their eyes.

Being mocked na hindi ako sinipot ni Vi is the least of my worry, sobra akong nag aalala na baka kung may nangyari sa kanya, anything can happen in eight hours since the last I talked to her on the phone, at imposibleng hindi niya sasagutin ang mga tawag ko.

She told me she has important things to do kaya siya umalis ng opisina ng hindi nagpasabi sa akin and informed me na didiretso na lang siya dito.

I scanned my contact list to look for her parents number, hindi ako mapanatag na lilipas pa ang ilang minuto na hindi ko alam kung ano ang nangyayari sa asawa ko. I'm on my wit's end and I need the assurance that she's okay and nothing happened to her.

Her parents will know if something happened to her.

"S-sir, incase you need to have a drink while you are waiting. I can open the bottle for you." tanong nang waiter, mababakas sa boses nito ang pag kaasiwa na tanungin ako.

"No, no, later." I answered him without looking up from my phone.

I'll try to call Vi again for the last time, then I'll call her Dad. Ayaw ko ring basta-basta tumawag kay Tito and give them unnecessary worries pag malaman nilang hindi ko makontak ang anak nila.

"For fuck sake will you stop calling her!"

Unexpectedly, a male voice answered on the other line.

A familiar voice.

Ricky...I thought bitterly. Nakaramdam ako ng galit sa sobrang selos, why she's with him when she's supposed to have a date with me?

"Where's Victoria?" I said in cold tone.

"Don't you get the drift? She doesn't want to talk to you."sabi nito sa nakakainsultong tono.

"Give. the. phone .to. Victoria! I want to talk to her and I'll not stop calling her until she talks to me!"

"No way I'm letting you talk to her!"

I clenched my fist sa galit, he's lucky bastard na wala siya sa harapan ko, kahit kaibigan siya ni Vi, I won't hesitate kicking his arrogant ass.

"Enough Toni, you're already smashed." pilit inaagaw ni Ricky ang bote ng alak na hawak ko that I hugged the bottle with both of my arms para hindi ito makuha sa akin.

Dumiretso ako sa condo ni Ricky pagkaalis ko ng opisina kanina, a place where Allen can't find me.

"I'm not! don't be such an arse Rick! we are celebrating tonight, you and me."

"And what are we celebrating?"

"Don't you remember? it's my wedding anniversary arsehole! Today, I married the biggest jerk in a whole wide world." I form a circle with my hands and ended up spilling the drinks that I'm holding.
