And I, I’m nervously standing between our parents and my two best man, Marco and Paul. I never realized this is how you feel pag kinakasal ka, even Dominique said yes to me, I’m still worried she’s going to change her mind at the last minute. At magiging panatag lang ang loob ko once I’ll put the ring on her finger.
My Dominique looks like an angel that came down from heaven just to marry me, nababalutan siya ng liwanag mula sa labas habang nakatayo sa pinto.
She started walking towards me, one step at a time, our eyes locked together.
My beautiful bride, I don’t see or hear anything, my whole senses focused on her.
Bago matapos ang araw na to, Dominique and I will be one, and we’ll spend our lifetime together.
“Relax pare.” si Marco while squeezing my shoulder.
“Take a deep breath Kuya.” si Victoria sabay abot ng panyo sa akin.
I just nod my head and smiled, hindi ako makapagsalita.
Then my bride is in front of us, yumakap siya sa parents namin. Even them has tears on their eyes.
Finally, she’s standing right in front of me, waiting for me..
“Son, I’m trusting my daughter to you. Love her and take good care of her.” ang Daddy ni Dominique, lumuluha habang binibigay sa akin ang kamay ng anak niya.
“I will Dad, I will love and take care of Dominique as you took care of her.”
I hold her hands and squeezed them.
“I love you.” bulong ni Dominique.
“I love you more.” habang pinapahiran ang luha niya.
I’m in daze the whole ceremony, I thought in our four years nasabi ko na lahat kay Dominique ang pagmamahal ko sa kanya.
I was wrong.
As I stared into my bride’s eyes, nakalimutan ko na ang mga salitang mini memorize ko for how many weeks, I just listened to my heart. Walang mata ang hindi lumuha as they listened to my wedding vow to Dominique.
“And I pronounce you, Husband and Wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
“And I thought wedding should be a happy occasion, but since nag start ang ceremony I’m doing nothing but cry.” si Dominique, nagniningning ang mga mata na nakatitig sa akin.
“Tears of happiness love, unless kaya ka umiiyak dahil nagsisi ka na nagpatali ka sa akin.” pagbibiro ko.
“Never love, we are meant for each other from the first time we met.” emotional na sabi ni Dominique.
Kiss!
Kiss!
Natatawa kaming napalingon sa pamilya at kaibigan namin.
Again, we are wrapped in our own world, nakalimutan namin na nasa altar pa kami at naghihintay ang lahat pati na rin ang pari.
I cupped her face.
“I love you my husband.”
“Not half as much as I do my wife.”
She pulled my face closer to her, kissing me passionately.
Napapangiti na lang ako, my naughty wife, trying to seduce me in front of everybody and I’m enjoying it.
Wife...yes..ngayon pa lang I'm already used and comfortable with the idea of calling her my wife.
And there, our first kiss as husband and wife..
