Many people are scared of this word. Lalo na 'yung mga taong paulit-ulit na naiiwan, nasaktan, umasa hanggang sa natanggap na lang nila sa sarili nila na baka wala talagang may gusto sa kanila. Natatakot silang sumubok muli dahil baka sa huli maramdaman na naman nila 'yung sakit. Tapos mapupunta tayo sa mga paulit-ulit na tanong. Bakit ba kailangan laging may nasasaktan sa huli? Bakit may mga taong nababalewala? Bakit may mga taong umaasa?

"Are you still mad at me?" I breathe out when Code only stares at me for a few seconds and continued eating.
Magmula nang magtalo kami kagabi ay hindi na niya ako muling kinibo pa. Just like now, ipinagluto niya nga ako pero hindi naman niya ako kinakausap. Kasalo ko nga siya pero parang robot naman.

Nataranta ako nang tumayo na ito sa kanyang silya.

"Code, can we...talk?"

Again, he stares at me for a few seconds before sitting back in front of me. He's acting mad and that scares the shit out of me.

"Talk now."

It was only two words but it made me chill. I don't like this. Kagat-labi akong napayuko. I have never done this before at masakit ito sa pride but for the sake of him...I will do it.

"I...I am sorry."

Narinig ko ang bahagyang pagtikhim nito.

"Look at me. What did you say?"

"I said, I'm sorry." I replied. The side of his lip rose. Napairap ako. It wasn't me who was supposed to apologize because it wasn't my fault, in the first place! But here I am, talking like a scared cat.

"You're sorry because of what?"

Napatingin ako sa kanya. "I'm sorry because you were jealous of Ulysses...?"

I gasped when he leaned forward at me.

"And, you think sorry is enough?"

"W-what?"

Nagulat na lamang ako nang bigla ay hinalikan niya ako sa labi. Narinig ko pa ang pagtawa nito habang nakatingin sa akin.

"What's with the reaction, doll? Lagi naman kitang hinahalikan, eh." Mabilis na tumuwid ang upo ko dahil sa sinabi niya. Ang shameless niya.

"So, we're bati na?" My voice came out soft as if it wasn't me. Code muffled a laugh before lightly pinching my nose, which I've noticed his habit.

"You're so beautiful, doll. No wonder my heart is beating for you."

My lips parted as I tried to recognize the figurative words he just said. I'm literally baffled but my heart is like a horse on a race. Damn is this guy saying.

"H-huh?"

He only shake his head with ghost smile appeared on his lips. I stared at his ocean eyes, which undeniably gorgeous just like the man bearing it.

"Nothing, doll. But tell you what, galit pa rin ako kaya you have to do something about it."

The imagination snapped out of my head dahil sa sinabi niya. Salubong ang kilay na napaharap ako sa kanya. Shuta, parang kanina lang nilalandi na ako, ha.
