Chapter 14

Trissalia Pearl

The moon shines like a big wandering light from above as it lurks from the open window of our room. Its rays gives justice on its luminous effect. There are no stars and may indicate that a rainfall will come later on. Nevertheless, even the moon is alone, it still outcasted the dark horizon. I stared at myself at the mirror. Tonight is the 47th Founding Anniversary of Lucur Empire and yesterday, Code surprised me with the big box containing this champagne long gown, adorned with diamonds that reflects and weighs too much but I can handle. It's a sleeveless gown and has low neckline but it doesn't show much of my cleavage.

This dress is for innocent yet dangerous and it perfectly fits me.

"Doll..."

Umalis ako sa harap ng salamin at napahinto ako sa tapat ng bintana kung saan tumatama ang sikat ng buwan nang magsalita si Code sa labas. Kanina ko pa ito hindi kinakausap at siya nama'y walang sawang nagpapansin. Siya pala ang dahilan kung bakit nakarugtong na ang apelyido niya sa pangalan ko ng hindi nagpapaalam. Gusto ko talaga siyang sabunutan but I reminded my self that what he have done was inevitable. Ipapaalam din naman namin sa publiko ang tungkol sa relasyon namin kaya lang ay nauna na siyang magdesisyon.

I wonder if my situation already reached the ears of my family.

"Can I come in?"

"No," mariin ang pagtutol na sagot ko kay Code ngunit hindi niya naman ito pinakinggan at walanghiyang pumasok.

I was left in awe the moment he stepped in. Code is dashing with his tuxedo that emanates his perfect features. His hair is in clean cut, like I've always wanted. No stubbles, no acne or anything that could ruin his beautiful face. Ang kinis, ang puti, at napaka-gwapo.

"Are you still mad at me?"

Oh, Code. How can I be mad if your ocen eyes is dominating my entity.

"Code..." I gasped when he come closer to me.

"Look, I am sorry but I meant what I did. Naiinip na ako na walang nakakaalam sa relasyon natin. You can't keep this forever, you know."

Mariin akong napapikit nang hindi ko mahanap ang tamang salita upang isagot sa kaniya. My husband is really unstoppable.

"I am not trying to keep you from everyone, Code. It's just that-"

"-you're afraid of your family. You're afraid that you may disappoint them and then, they'll see you useless because you think you're a tool who needs to be used whenever and whatever they wanted to," he cuts me off.

Napantig ang tenga ko sa sinabi niya. Galit akong napalayo sa kanya.

"Code! How could you say that to me? You don't know anything!"

"I know everything, Trissalia Pearl. You think I will marry you without knowing even a gist about you? You can't fool me, dear wife, because from your head to your toes, I know every dirty little secret of yours, and guess what...

Mas nag-init ang ulo ko sa sinabi niya at akmang sasampalin siya ngunit mabilis ang pagkilos niyang nahuli iyon at walang hiyang hinila paharap sa salamin. We're both facing the full-size mirror and I can see his eyes on fire. He's not mad...but even.

... I won't be added to your list because this secrecy will end tonight."

I smirked despite the fact that he's holding my jaws tightly and the way he speaks his words are spiking through my heart. "If you think I'm making you stupid, then think free. Baka nakakalimutan mong ikaw ang pumwersa sa akin sa relasyong ito so whatever I do is out of your business! And yes, you're right, dear husband, my plan is to use you to my heart's content. Gagamitin kita hanggang sa may pakinabang ka sa akin at hanggang doon na lang iyon."
