I always know to myself that I am not good enough.

The demons in my head keeps pushing me off the cliff and tells me that I have to be brave and witty but unfortunately, no matter how much I use my brain and toughen my heart, lagi pa ring may nagte take advantage sa akin. I still commit wrong decisions in life. I sometimes spit the wrong words even my head knows what exactly to say. I am weak even other people says I look tough.

I have flaws; may it be fears, or immoral acts. I am no perfect. And how I wish I can show it to this greedy world.

“What do you want for lunch, doll?” Code queried as I fixes the bed. Inabot kami ng tanghali bago magising and it was the longest sleep I've ever had. I feel somehow refreshed because after years of having sleepless nights, nakumpleto rin ito sa wakas.

No nightmares but a sweet downfall and it was all because of Code.

“Egg & rocket pizzas, spicy avocado wraps, burrito bowl with chipotle black beans...” I stopped midway to divert my gaze to him. “...do we have ingredients for those? Or should I change it na lang?”

He patiently smiles at me. “Don't worry too much, doll. I can work to that. Tell me what you want and I'll make it possible.”

Natatawang napailing ako. Ang drama naman but sure since he insisted.

“Then, I'll add ampalaya milkshake on my order...” my mouth watered just thinking about it.

“Copy that, ma'am. Chef husband will now start.” Sumaludo pa ito sa akin bago nagmartsa papuntang kusina. The perks of having a chef husband is that everyday you eat five star foods.

Once I finished fixing the bed, I stepped out of the room but halted when the doorbell chime. Sakto namang papalabas si Code sa kusina na mukhang narinig din ang doorbell pero sumenyas ako sa kanya na ako na ang magbubukas.

At sino namang bibisita sa amin ng ganitong oras?

Napabuntong hiningang binuksan ko ang pinto but my forehead immediately creased when I saw the guest.

Nagkatitigan kami at bahagya siyang ngumiti sa akin. Her skin looks fresh but her eyes were tired. But why?

“Hi, Salia.” she pulled out another smile, unbothered with my scrutinizing gaze.

“Liberty, are you okay?” I replied instead if greeting her with commonalities. Pakiramdam ko kasi ay may mabigat siyang problema and it would be very useless if I'd do that.

Her gaze fell on the floor. “Can you not call me by that name?”

Muli na naman akong naguluhan. Anong problema? Napakaganda kaya ng pangalan niya. Liberty is synonymous to freedom and that is what I keep on fighting for. Freedom.

“Would you like to come inside? Nasa kusina si Code.” I invited but she immediately jerk off her head.

“Ikaw talaga ang sadya ko, Salia...” she gulped. “And if possible, can I have a moment with you? I need someone to talk with.”

Her words confirmed my thoughts. May problema nga siya.

Muli akong napasulyap sa likod ko kung saan ay sumilip si Code ngunit hindi lumapit. His expressionless face were eyeing us. I held LJ’s shoulder.
