CHAPTER EIGHT: THE QUESTION

"K. Send ko yung address ng bahay na'min."

Brent proceeds to throw a large pillow on Ryland's direction who is busy trying to be the worst and sickest as possible.

"Nababaliw ka na ba?"

"No."

Brent might have forgotten to warm Megan about his twin brother who gives everything to his lovers. Ryland has always been a nice lover to all of his ex-girlfriends, but Brent knew that he can be toxic sometimes.

Being too passionate and toxic is dangerous, and an overly toxic passionate Ryland is... hazardous, way dangerous.

"You just met her, Ryland. You can't..."

"Can't what?"

"You don't like her!" Brent raised his voice and sighed in disbelief.

Ryland is pretending to be sick to gain Megan's attention and make her only look at him and him only.

He does love her attention on him, it's her fault, right?

She made him feel things that takes his breath away, that makes him want to touch her, that makes him want to... take her away and make her his.

But he doesn't like her yet.

"Mind your business, Zeron."

"This is my friend we're talking about, idiot."

Ryland chuckled and wore his jacket to make him sweat, hoping that it would help bring his facade to success.

"Friend? It's a good thing. Dapat masaya ka para sa'ming dalawa."

Brent just knew that his twin brother has lost his mind, and he only has Megan to blame.

If Megan wasn't so interested with his brother, if Megan didn't fell in love at first sight with him, and if she wasn't so charming, this wouldn't have happened.

Brent already knew that Ryland will fall in love with Megan sooner or later, although he's never fallen this easy with someone, maybe because it's Megan that it's quite different than any of the girls that he's ever met.

"Are you happy now?" Brent asked Ryland with a wary expression in his face.

"Happy?" Ryland repeats with a wide smile on his lips, covering half of his face to hide his embarrassment and excitement.

He did it.

He asked Megan on a date and gave her a kiss, he did had an urge to just give in to her, and so he did.

But then again, as a reminder to himself, he doesn't like her yet.

"I'm not happy. I'm alright. Parang pumayat siya, huh?" he chuckled and shook his head as he replayed Megan's priceless reaction after he stole a quick kiss from her.

"Damn it, Reid." Brent whispered under his breath.

Brent just knew that this is about to go crazy.
