Have you ever had to choose? Between two things you liked?

Even if you were unsure of how much you liked one thing, but everyone around you was telling you to try something different.

Lets refer to it as ice cream.

You have been eating vanilla for a really long time.

Always vanilla.

Nothing else.

Everybody is tired of always seeing you eat vanilla. They all want you to try something new, but you never see anything good.

Then one day you come across chocolate.

Apparently, chocolate is your best friends ex-favorite.

That would be awkward.

So what do you do?

Carry on with vanilla or try something new? Chocolate. Even if your unsure how it will affect your friendship with your best friend.

She says she doesn't like chocolate anymore.

Does she? Or is she just saying that, because she wants you to move on?

She's always defending chocolate. There has to be some feelings remaining. Doesn't there?

Well there isn't. Apparently.

That isn't the only problem, though.

I'm sure by now you all have figured out that I'm referring to guys?

If you hadn't, well, know you know.

Lucas was vanilla.

Matthew was chocolate.

Yes, I am being slightly racist right now.

Matthew is black. Not one of those super dark black people, but a teensi bit darker than really tan people.

I'm not saying Lucas is white.

His race is still unknown...

I think he's Indian (from India), but he swears he's Mexican.

Sure.

Not the point, though.

Matthew used to have glasses, and he practically stalked Kat.

Exes. What can you do?

So, I started off with the opinion that he was... Well... Strange/stalkerish.

He got contacts.

I have contacts. :)

He looks a hell of a lot different with contacts!

Like... Cute...

He came up to me on Valentine's Day.

Isn't that a sign???

Well, I mean I was talking with Josh (one of his friends) and Isabel, so he didn't come for me. :(

Though we started talking.

I wouldn't give him a cupcake, and he called me racist.

This was before I sort of liked him.

We joked around like that for a couple minutes.

Then I got my lunch, and went back to my table.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume he did the same... ;)

Later on, Kat and I were walking to connections and he comes up AGAIN.

He says he still upset I didn't give him a cupcake, and tells me I'm racist and that he's all sad.

So I asked him if he needed a hug. Well, he said yes.

So I give him a hug.

BAM!

That motherfucker smelled so good!

Like heaven on Earth. Like good gracious!

I pulled away, and we said bye, and he left.

I'm pretty sure I went to careers fucking glad as hell that I didn't give him a cupcake!

If I had this wouldn't have happened.

Now I'm one step closer to getting over Lucas, which Kat is super ok with.

Even though she dated Matthew.

I really don't want to be the friend that dates her friends ex.

Fuck it.

I'm finally getting over Lucas, and I'm so thankful that he hugged meh.

Sorry Kat, but your ex is fineeeeee...!

Plus, Kat said it was ok. She said its been at least a year since they dated (way past the 6 month minimum according to the Rules) so she for SURE doesn't have feelings for him.

Just, you know, incase you were starting to think I was some bitch whore.

Which I don't think I am, but hey! Hakuna Matata.
