[Name's] thanked every fibre in her being for Mr Crewel providing her with such sturdy leather boots for her feet would have been torn to shreds if he hadn't. She practically walked the earth five times over in those things around campus not only for lessons but for her cleaning duties...

You read that correctly, cleaning duties. [Name] was still cleaning the castle in her free time.

Mr Crowley's following conversation the next morning had dumped a whole lot more stress over poor [Name].

The tuition fees for this magic school were relentless and now that she was officially a student, she was officially in student debt as well. All to enrol in a magic school when she had no magic in the first place. Not only was she babysitting Grim, attending lessons and being the school photographer all UNPAID. But now student debt?! For a student loan!? And she didn't even have any money to buy food at the cafeteria or for herself let alone at her DORM for crying out loud. Crowley was gracious enough to provide accommodation for free but with the utter state, Ramshackle was in? Hardly gracious at all.

Like an avalanche, the monster within her came out to Mr Crowley. She finally snapped and it was brutal.

But first... She turned to her boys, Ace, Deuce and Grim.

"Ace, Deuce, Grim. I'm going to talk with Mr Crowley. Alone." She had said to the three, her voice flat as the castle's stone floors.

"Look here-" Ace made a move to protest but the fearful look in Grim's eyes as he pulled at the cuff of his trousers said it all. She wasn't asking.

As soon as they had closed the door behind them, they pressed their ears to the door. Eavesdropping aside, they had to hear this. Their skeletons jumped out of their bodies as they started to hear [Name] shouting and screaming, all muffled through the heavy mahogany door. Oh. Oh. She was furious furious.
They winced at crashing: like furniture was being thrown about and they shared a look of utter disbelief as they heard Mr Crowley yelping and pleading for her to calm down - something about to put his magic pen down?

And then pure silence. Not even a shout or yell. Seven, had Crowley killed her or was it the other way around? They shivered, wishing they hadn't listened in the first place. The shouting was more reassuring than this eerie iron curtain.

A few minutes passed and finally, the silence was broken.
Mr Crowley said, "Come in, Trappola, Spade, Grim."

His voice raised a few octaves and cracked slightly like a pubescent boy experiencing puberty for the first time before he coughed into his fist and repeated it with a level tone.
Ace, Deuce and Grim did as what was said and nervously ventured inside to see [Name] standing, her chair missing two legs and set aside for the time being. She looked calm enough.

"We have come to an agreement..." Crowley continued with his detailed discussion.

And they certainly did. [Name] would not stand for her labour to go unrecognised and unappreciated, let alone unpaid. They came to a compromise, [Name] would be paid for cleaning the castle for extra cash and paid via a scholarship if she were to take pictures with the camera on behalf of the school for advertisements and the yearbook. Considering she was half a student with Grim - this was understandable - and she now had a part-time job and was required to clean the castle for two hours a day for money, except on Sundays. That was all she wanted and for once she could call Crowley gracious - not that he did it without a push.

Regardless, it had been a long first day.

[Name] couldn't help bounding into her thick mattress and duvet, curling into herself with Grim. A graceful chance to rest her worn-out feet and relax; she still had lots on her plate. She still had yet to clean the dormitory but all in due time.
