"No way I'm washing a hundred windows. Gonna head on home..." Ace mumbled under his breath, resting both of his hands upon the crown of his head. Unfortunately, he had uttered these words at the worst time possible. Right as [Name] strode into the room, Grim on her shoulder. Her eyes were dangerously cold and had a sneer which could maul hard-cut diamonds. A broom was cracking in her fist with her wrathful grip.
"Care to repeat that, Ace-hole?"
[Name] was frankly not in the mood for this bullshit today.
"Geh!! Cleaning lady found me!" Ace yelped, stumbling nearly to his knees as he began to sprint to his mirror to transport him to his dorm. Teeth clenched. "I'm outta here!"
"No, you're not!" [Name] called after, sprinting after him. Harnessing and raising her broom as if it were a spear.
"Jerk!! Hold up!!" Grim jumped off as [Name] urgently tailed Ace and began to pursue the slacker as well. For such a fat cat-rat monster, he was much quicker than [Name] and was closer to Ace's heels. "I won't let you be the only one to escape! It's not fair for only you to get out of it! I want to skip out too!"
"...Huh?" A boy with gorgeous dark blue hair was standing dead centre in the hallway, unbeknownst to him of Ace bolting down the hallway in his direction... until he glanced over his shoulder at [Name] screaming for Ace to stop. She was holding her broom above her head like a lunatic and breathing like a bull. From anger or physical exhaustion from sprinting? Quite reasonably both.
"Outta my way! Outta my way!" Ace hollered, roughly colliding with the dark-blue-haired boy's shoulder, sending him reeling but, thankfully, hadn't pushed him over. He yelped and grew wide-eyed, watching Ace stumble - out of breath - back into a sprint.
"Catch him please!" [Name] hoarsely screamed for this stranger to assist. She remembered. This was a school of magic! "I- Use magic!"
"Magic to capture someone!? I should freeze their legs, no, how about retraining them? Or I could... Ummm..." The poor boy couldn't organise his thoughts: any spells that were to mind for this exact situation had vanished like an odd sock in a washing machine.
"Anyway, I don't care how, just hit him hard! Hurry!" Grim exclaimed.
"Any way!? Any way... Eeeiii! Anything is fine so come on! Something heavy!" With an impulsive smack of his pen to the air, he cast the first thing to mind, movements delirious but haste. Seconds away from the mirror to Ace's dorm, Heartslabyul, and with a puff of silvery smoke, Ace was stopped.
With a cauldron.
"Gueeeeh! What the heck!? A pot!?" Ace croaked out from beneath the charcoal, a large cauldron, effectively trapping him from escaping his responsibilities any further. It had dropped on him harshly, resonating with a booming CLANK. [Name] gave a rather embarrassingly single laugh at this as she slowed into a brisk jog, gathering her breath back.
Grim was howling with laughter. "Check it out! Ace is flat as a pancake under that cauldron! So lame!"
"I didn't think I'd get a cauldron. Did I overdo it?" The blue-haired boy clutched his chin seriously and mumbled, gazing at his magical performance. He flickered back into reality when [Name] slowly trotted beside him. He gasped and pointed a finger at her, "Wait, you're the new girl student!"
"Tis I, [Name]. Not a student but a new Cleaning Lady," [Name] dramatically introduced herself with a curtsey before patting the stranger's back in gratitude. She flashed him an amiable smile, one that sent his heart palpating. "And, no you didn't overdo it. Though, I think a heavier cauldron might have done a better job..."
"Now," she started. She jolted the blue-haired boy out of his skin as she, without warning and with some grunts, yanked Ace's flailing wrist and dragged him from out the cauldron with some struggle, furiously glaring at him. "You."
