At that single word, the air froze over and suddenly no one could take their eyes off her.
"[N-Name]," Deuce called, hesitating as he reached out for her as if he was afraid touching her would worsen her condition.
"No, no, no, NO!" [Name] denies, waving her arms about with palms forward. "I think you're overreacting. S-so what my bogies are black, it can't be blot, r-right?"
"What do you suggest it is then?! [Name] what the fuck!" Ace screeched, his ginger fluffy locks collecting between his fingers and his hands as he pulled at his hair.
Riddle could only observe in troubled silence, gripping the lower part of his face.
"There is no other explanation," Crowley levelled his tone, holding his chin, deathly serious. "This is a serious matter. [Name], despite having no magic, is oozing blot from her nose."
The following expressions of dread directed her way from everyone sent a nasty chill up the girl's spine as a nasty crawl of sweat layered her skin.
All with the exception of Deuce, to her surprise, who was breathing heavily and baring his teeth.
"You-!" Deuce growled, almost forcing it out his throat.
[Name] gasped as Deuce lunged for Riddle following heavy strides towards him, his blue nails barely grazing past Riddle's throat. If it wasn't for Trey and Cater's quick reaction, pulling him back by roughly gripping the fabric of his uniform, [Name] had no doubt in her mind he would've had Riddle in a lethal chokehold.
"You caused this-!"
"Deuce calm down!" Trey pleaded, holding him by his white shirt. Deuce didn't listen, struggling even more in their hold.
"Deuce stop! Please, no violence!" [Name] beseeched. Thankfully, this was enough to calm him down as he stopped squirming, but not without roughly yanking away his shoulder from the third-year's hold.
Even with those delinquents that made him drop his eggs and threaten to break her fingers, [Name] could never imagine Deuce becoming this furious. And to go after Riddle, his own Dormleader no less, was a prospect completely out of her mind. Guess forgetting the delinquency life wasn't as easy as she initially thought.
"Honestly I would've done the same." Ace expressed.
"Why didn't you!?" Deuce demands, pointing at him for an explanation.
"Even I'm not that stupid to try to go for the Dormhead, dumbass." Ace grinned smugly.
"You punched him earlier!" Deuce screamed. Yet, after he noticed [Name's] worried stare, Deuce slumped his shoulders and frowned, lowering his head. You could almost see the moment of realisation of his poor behaviour, atypical for an aspiring honours student. Thus, he bowed in front of Riddle, pressing his lips together still bristling but more composed. "Sorry... that was disrespectful of me. It won't happen again, Dormleader."
Riddle said nothing, instead, deeply nodding to acknowledge the apology. He didn't look angry, instead, he was rather pensive and focused on [Name] more than anything.
