"Hey, beasty! O-o-o-over here!" According to the plan, Grim had entered the tunnel to attempt to coax the beast from its cave where it hoarded the precious crystal the students desperately needed. [Name] had specifically chosen Grim due to his small anatomy, which would make him harder to catch. Besides, he was the quickest out of all of them.

Emerging from the cave's entrance, the faceless monster prowled its huge figure into the shimmering rays of the moonlight, casting the revolting-looking beast in finer and more repugnant detail. [Name] cringed at the black sweat markings on its clothing where the ink had heavily soaked through its tunic.

The Faceless Monster growled, somewhat cowering under the moonlight. ⛧ G̴̘͈̯͖̉̅r̶͉̩͊͗̃͛r̵̢̺͇̋̀r̶̡̤̅͑͝r̷̨̙̽̔̿̉͒r̸͇̎.̵͓̫̈́.̷̯͓͉̓.̴̧̩̑.̵̛͔̳̣̾͋ ̴̡̱̝͊̒͗͘L̵͔̝͇͑̍͠e̸͙͇̳͙̻͐a̸͚͔̲̪̩̐Ȃ̴̧͈̪͓Ą̴̖͋͗A̵͓̱͔͕̔̚A̴̛͍̲̜͑̄͠A̸͚͙͑̽͝Ȁ̵̞͚͍̱͊͘Ȁ̵̯̟V̶̻̱̞͔̀̈́̔͘͝V̴̰͙̞̱́̋̅́̚Ȩ̷̢̢̺̋̕͜E̴̥̯̋̎͑!̷͎̺͂!̵̤̾̀!̵̹͎̻̓̈́ ⛧
Grim stuck up his paws in fright, hastily darting towards the opposite way of wherever that creature was facing. "Gah! It's coming!"
"Over here, beasty! Come on you big, fat LUG!" [Name] shouted, attempting to divert its attention to her behind a bush on the side of the clearing. Her blood became frigid against her warm skin and centre, feeling exposed in the open gusts of wind as the monster pivoted its torso to gaze at her. Or that's what she thought. It seemed like it had no eyes - and yet she could still tell it was staring exactly like her.

She soon realized it did have eyes and she wish it didn't. She choked a scream as two eyeballs, coated thickly in ink, pressed against the inside of the monster's glassy face. They bore into her soul, a cold cerulean, unwavering. Unblinking.

"Ohhhh shit!" It began to quickly lurch towards [Name] and she stumbled into a run. She barely avoided its heavy fist as it bashed against the ground where she once stood, thundering the earth at contact. It left a dent.

"Pyah! That punch looks like a knockout if it lands!" Grim jaw dropped, but [Name] motioned for him to keep moving with a flick of her wrist. "[Name] are you okay!?"
"Stick to the plan and don't worry about me!" [Name] reminded Grim, sprinting further ahead, watching as the monster was attempting to jog to catch her or Grim - whoever he could grasp his large hands on. His limbs were as thick as tree stumps and they boomed with every step. "Get it as far from the tunnel as possible!"
For a while, it was a game of push and pull of the monster's attention. Before it could grab either [Name] or Grim, the other would shout profanities at the thing, enraging it enough to go after the other until it got too close again and the other would repeat the process. Thankfully, the Faceless thing was too enraged to see the pattern or simply dense enough to mindlessly swipe at the two but it was getting more irritated at every miss and avoidance.
